Coolest looking ebike ever - Reevo

Impossibly impractical and would be unserviceable if it broke, but how cool is this ? I must of been hiding under a rock when this came out https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/1919027885182130/

    Fork Choice(Cheap)

10,000 miles on a £40 fork is not bad going, that's a good few years of cycling for some folk

    Fork Choice(Cheap)

I'd go with the Suntour, 50mm travel version here for £40 if in doubt. The smaller the travel the closer to the original bike geometry with the original solid fork Just check the steerer length is enough at 300mm compared to the existing buzzbike fork...

    Crossfire Rear Rim

You can probably offset the cost by selling your Suntour HESC bits on ebay, there's still a market for the sensor, controller and display. You won't get much if anything for the knackered battery though other than for spare

The tale of a £100 second hand electric bike.

I've read some of your thread on your Haibike, 9 years on the same battery in regular use is amazing, if I ever went to the dark side (pre built mainstream mid drive bike) I would definitely consider Yamaha powered bikes.

    Brake upgrade. Mechanical or hydraulic

Been using Tektro hydraulic brakes for years on my ebikes, no complaints from me, I have found them reliable and good stopping power, just make sure you use decent sintered/semi metal disc pads. I have a very steep long hill on my commute on the way home with a road junction at the bottom with...

Battery dies quickly, next stop scrappy ?

Thanks all. Had the battery on charge for 8 hrs today, my energy monitoring smart plug tells me it took 0.2kwh during that time, so about half of the original capacity it would seem is now usable. Will try a few discharge and recharge cycles to see if it improves Cheers

Battery dies quickly, next stop scrappy ?

Well yes, those were my 2 choices yesterday, and as I didn't think it was worthwhile trying to fix even if I had the expertise, spot welder and replacement cells/bms for an old low capacity battery it was gonna be dropped off at the tip today, but today it would seem I now have a third choice in...

Battery dies quickly, next stop scrappy ?

So just got back from a 45 min ride (dodged the showers) and started off on lower level assist at about 100w. After 10 mins Increased it to about 150w assist. I could see that.under.load the voltage reading would sag by 2-3v and then recover when freewheeling. When I increased assistance to 200w...

Battery dies quickly, next stop scrappy ?

Voltage down to 41.3 when powered on this morning, so 0.5v drop compared to when hot off the charger. I always see a difference of about 0.2 or 0.3v I think on any of my batteries when just off the charger and a day or so later, Im guessing this is normal ? When the weather improves will head...

Battery dies quickly, next stop scrappy ?

Hi all Thanks very much for all of the suggestions, I think @Tony1951 you are most likely bang on the money with your explanation, I think I have the same issue as you did. I've had the battery on 'charge' as explained earlier for most of the day, it now reads 41.8v hot off the charger, I'll...

Battery dies quickly, next stop scrappy ?

Hi all, I have a 5 year old 36v 10ah Hailong battery (Yosepower LG M1 cells) that I very rarely use now I have higher capacity batteries. I top up the charge on it every couple of months as I do for all batteries if not used often. The last time I used it on the bike a few months ago it was...

    Cycle helmet (again)

Good to hear the lid did it's job. You might want to consider replacing the helmet now, it'll not protect you in the same area of the helmet if the structure has been compressed as a result of the impact on the helmet
