Hi Bob Many thanks for the reply. I've had a look at the connections. The small green wire into the multi-plug appeared to have a nick in it so I cut it, stripped both sides and wound it together. Didn't make a difference unfortunately. Still doesn't start without first turning the back wheel...

New symptom. When I turn the throttle, nothing happens unless I spin the back wheel slightly and then it keeps going.
