Brompton have recently released a puncture repair kit that can be used with their electric and non-electric 16" bikes. What interests me is the small insert you can put inside a 15mm ring spanner to turn it into a ratchet hex driver. Any ideas where you might buy that insert separately ?

Need to renew my cycle insurance. Total value is circa £7500, 2 electric bikes and an upcoming new Brompton. All legal. Needs to have public liability. Barclays Home Insurance stopped providing cover some time back.

There has been comment in some recent threads that you can maybe ignore the legal restirictions on electric bikes because they are not policed, "plod is not interested" is a not unknown justification for ignoring the legal restrictions. Some posters even seem to advertise their illegal activity...

The conversion kit I recently bought for a Brompton came with a motor cable that was 110cm long. A shorter motor cable would be good. Shortest I can find is 60cm, but 30cm would be enough. So has anyone seen motor cables shorter than 60cm for sale ?

TOPBIKEKIT do a base Brompton conversion kit, 16" motor wheel, KT sine controller, LCD4 display, switched brake levers and cables for around £300. It uses Julet waterproof connector cables and a 1-4. Does anyone know of a similar kit that uses the JST-SM style controller and connectors ?
