Those bikes are ok but remember they don't have mudguards so you'll get spray all over you on wet roads. Also no lights. Do you need to carry anything? If so you may want a rack and panniers. So perhaps a touring bike may be a better call.

If you're about to lose your license then I wouldn't ride a dongled bike or an S Pedelec because if you're caught they will throw the book at you.

I ride a step through Wisper. Had it a while now and can't speak highly enough about its performance. Battery still excellent. I would call a step through a "city bike". A crossbar one a "sports" model. So there you have it ....no more sexism

I'm very sorry to read this. Hope your insurance pays up quickly. To be honest you're lucky you didn't confront them. No bike is worth going to hospital for. A bike can be replaced, you can't. I must say I'm shocked by the brazen audacity of their MO. Scary.
