News: NEC Cycle Show: 22nd to 24th September

Im going on the Saturday morning, but will only be able to stay for a couple of hours as I'm taking my son to the EGX exhibition in the halls next door, which starts at 11:30am. Hopefully I will have enough time to visit the Cube stand and ask a few questions about their 2018 eBikes.

Another fat lad with a few questions

It is confusing isn't it, with so many models looking so similar. I shall be asking Cube at their Cycle Show stand to explain all the differences to me.

Another fat lad with a few questions

Thanks. That helps me narrow down the 2018 Cube bikes to.. Acid Hybrid One 500 (9sp) Reaction Hybrid One 500 (9sp) Reaction Hybrid Pro 500 (10sp) Then to decide whether to go with the Allroad version (mudguards & lights). I like that the lights are wired to the battery, but if the lights ever...

Nice bike, congratulations. Im still trying to figure out the differences between certain Cube Reaction bikes, such as the Race 500, and the Pro 500 etc.

Just been shopping! Cube Reaction Race 500

Thanks. I've used those rear mudguards before, but I prefer the type that enclose the wheel. But as you say, I can probably pick those up anywhere.

    2018 Bosch Drive Units Differences?

Thats interesting, as I had assumed that the Active range of motors were the older ones, and with CX being the newer, which is way I was surprised to see the Active motors on the 2018 bikes. Coincidentally, the bike I saw it on was also the Cube Acid Hybrid, but rather the 'Allroad' model. The...

Overweight and looking for what to buy.

For me, an ebike will allow me to commute to work by cycling, I tried it on my normal bike but gave up due to the sheer steepness and size of the hills on my way home from work. They demoralised me completely. And we aren't talking about inclines, we are talking bloody great hills. Also, an...

Just been shopping! Cube Reaction Race 500

I believe they do. Im thinking I'd like a Cube model that also has lights factory fitted (assuming the lights are factory wired to the bikes battery?), but I have no idea if these factory fitted lights are any good or if Id find myself replacing them anyway? Im off to see the Cube stand at the...

Just been shopping! Cube Reaction Race 500

The 2018 Reaction Race does look a nice bike. From the Cube website I don't think they supply this model fitted with mudguards and lights, which is a shame for me.

    2018 Bosch Drive Units Differences?

Hoping for an explanation on the 2018 Bosch motors please to ascertain which would be most suitable for my needs.... Im looking to buy an ebike for commuting but also for riding along trails and light off road, certainly not any serious off road stuff. Ive been looking at the range of 2018...

Its been run by a local bike shop - JE James Cycles who have shops in Sheffield, Rotherham & Chesterfield. Details are on their website. I called back into one of their shops today and they said are taking loads of bikes, including 2018 demo bikes and ebikes. Its a free event, you just need to...

    Haibike Trekking/Cross?

I recently purchased the Abus 6500/85 Bordo Granit X-Plus Folding Lock to secure mine and my lads bikes whilst away on holiday. It does appear to be a good lock, and an awkward shape for bolt croppers.. Yes, the area I would be storing it at work is about as secure as you could possibly get...

    Haibike Trekking/Cross?

Just read your review, and found it enjoyable, thanks. http://www.pedelecs.co.uk/forum/threads/switched-to-haibike-sdurotrekking.28693/ What kind of lock did you use when you were inside the pubs charging your battery? Not sure I'd dare let a Haibike out of my sight :(

Thanks soundwave I like the idea of being able to turn it on/off whilst riding, but to be honest I probably wouldn't ever want to turn it off!!
