Finally bought a smaller folder for conversion...

New Mezzo D9 Photos 1/2 Here's some decent pics I took yesterday of the Mezzo D9....this will be the last time it's photographed before it gets electrified. I fitted the smaller Mezzo bag for the pictures:

Finally bought a smaller folder for conversion...

Second test rides Been out on the Mezzo again this afternoon...I absolutely LOVE this bike.. I don't know if it's the bike itself, or just riding on 16" wheels, but it's just fantastic!!! The more I ride it, the more I enjoy it...I literally just don't want to get off it and had to force...

    Recommendations for a bike alarm?

I'm personally in favour of using an inverter (or the thing which does the opposite, and turns a low voltage into a high voltage?) hooked up to the battery which turns the frame live with 10,000 volts..so anyone who nicks the bike gets a nice surprise! But in our country with our laws that...

    Recommendations for a bike alarm?

Just had a look at the website, fantastic products..very small. discrete and reasonably priced at 149 euros. Perhaps the more expensive bike manufacturers should be looking to do a deal with those guys and fit that technology as standard on bikes or as a lower-priced (half normal retail)...

    Recommendations for a bike alarm?

I think there's a gap in the market (I've always got my businessman hat on!) here for something for e-bikes in terms of alarm and crime prevention technology.. whilst an audio/visual theft deterrent alarm would be useful (which could use a movement sensor on a wheel)..I think also, there's the...

Will e-bikes ever enjoy mainstream popularity in the UK?

On a different subject, the weather is not bad lately is it! Really mild for the time of year with some sunshine and blue skies :D I'm just about to take my Mezzo out for a quick ride.. I'm going to test my mini MD80 camera which I've mounted on the handlebar. I can't ride my JetStream as...

Will e-bikes ever enjoy mainstream popularity in the UK?

Maybe a change to the law approach then, with tougher punishments for careless driving by motorists? For example, if a vehicle becomes too close and doesn't allow sufficient distance, instant penalty points and fixed penalty fine? That might encourage more e-bikers to ride with their cameras to...

Will e-bikes ever enjoy mainstream popularity in the UK?

Good response Patrick, I totally agree with you.. I think changing the culture towards cyclists from motorists will be difficult, if not impossible.. it is a major problem and the government doesn't seem to take it seriously enough, with the amount of cyclist deaths on our roads.. Saying...

    16" wheel building questions

I think I'm ready to place an order for a motor for my Mezzo but it doesn't look like I'll be able to get the motor built into the wheel by GBK or BMS (still waiting for replies from both)..as my wheel rims are 349mm. Someone mentioned somebody on here who can build wheels? I have a...

    OK, here goes.

Nice one Jim, I always like watching peoples videos :) I like making them too. Now I've got a faster SDHC card in my little MD80 camera I can do videos easier. I'm curious to know what camera you used and how you mounted it..?

Will e-bikes ever enjoy mainstream popularity in the UK?

I think e-bikes are already enjoying mainstream popularity... particularly now the cost of ownership continues to fall as big retailers like Tesco enter the market. I don't think e-bikes will ever become as mainstream as say PC's or mobile phones though, in so far as nearly every household...

    OT: Cycling for charity

Check out this unusual website made by a guy who decided to cycle 3,000 miles around our wonderful country for sponsorship which he donated to charity! He wasn't on an e-bike either, so it's all the more remarkable. The site is like a blog of his journey which covers the planning stages and...

    union jack

I don't think it matters where the bike is made really, as long as the design is British and the company behind it based in Britain, it's a British bike! I'm proud to ride my Mezzo knowing it's British, even if it was manufactured in China or somewhere East!

why do you have more than one bike.......

I managed fine with one bike and the idea of having several bikes seemed strange to me, especially when some people on here own several bikes with the same sized wheels!..I thought you guys must be collectors/real enthusiasts of the bikes, rather than actually needing them :P However now I have...

Finally bought a smaller folder for conversion...

Thanks for the tip cpg.. my mother just told me to keep the Mezzo and sell the JetStream :D I asked her which she liked. This is turning into a British v American thing... I'm asking everyone which bike they like best. For me, the Mezzo is a better designed and more usable bike than the...

    Folding project number 2

I've seen that bike before on eBay and considered buying one myself, it looks a bit like a Dahon Mu/Curve... a good choice I think and nice bike for the cheap price. I'm torn between buying a Q100 and getting one of those "intelligent" mini motors from keyde which weigh 1.6kg and have the...
