Where to try Cube Reaction Hybrid Pro 29er?

Sorry Cranky..just re-read my post but I meant good luck to James when he tries your bike rather than in finding one, bad wording on my part.. Enjoy yours when it arrives next week too.. I made the trip to Bury Leisurelakes today to look at one in the 'flesh' and have a go on one myself. It...

Where to try Cube Reaction Hybrid Pro 29er?

Ive had my head turned by this bike, mostly as you've stated already a couple of times, down to price/spec. Likewise though ive been finding it difficult to locate a local dealer with a demo bike (Wallasey, Merseyside) so may have to go to Leisurelakes in Bury to have a go on one (40ish miles)...

£1000 ebike for big fat man doing short commute with big hill

Hi Strowger and welcome to the forums. Regarding the £1000 limit, my employers scheme is also through Halfords and most of their 'partner' independent bike stores have offered to allow me to top-up the £1000 myself due to the higher cost of some e-bikes. You might not want to spend more but it...

    Buying abroad...

Our size puts us in-between a medium and large frame Eddie, which is a pain as 'L' is better so you dont feel cramped up in the pedal action, but means you stretch more with a standard stem and bars. I did change my old Scott hardtail with a MTB adjustable stem, riser bar with ergo grips and bar...

    Buying abroad...

Good point Dave, basic repairs are one thing, Bosch specific problems would be a pain to say the least.. The trials and tribulations of buying the right pedelec from the right dealer eh...maybe I'll do another conversion with a BBS01 instead..!

    Buying abroad...

Thanks for all your replies. I have asked MHW what happens in the event of warranty work so will see what they say. Agree that ktm is good value Eddie and I think that model was the first Bosch bike I tried. I found it a bit stretched forward on the bars for me as Im used to a more upright...

    Buying abroad...

Hi. I'm back in the market for a pedelec, having been riding my Giant front wheel eZee conversion for nearly 3.5 yrs now, which I'm glad to say has served me well and not missed a beat (John will testify to that as I haven't had to contact him since purchase..!) I fancy treating myself this...

    Suspension seatposts

Cheers John, luckily they had a few to sell but yes no snoozing this time.. Might look at getting a Specialized Expedition next to upgrade the stock Giant saddle as I've read good things about them. I'll tell you what's not helping my back, fixing bloody punctures, after my THIRD in as many...

    Suspension seatposts

Thanks. I've measured mine since and its 27.2mm. I've ordered a Post Moderne Bracer seatpost from ebay for £17 delivered, which looks like it might be a higher spec than the Cushy model, as long as it helps my back I'll be happy..

    What tyres do I buy?

I've used Travel Contacts on my commuter mtb for 12 months without a puncture and MP's on my Ezee conversion (just replaced the Kenda on the rear with a MP after 2 punctures in 2 days..) so can recommend both tyres for puncture protection.

Kit for a Trek Mountain Bike

You're welcome Tom and the offer stands whenever you're ready. I'm not surprised your legs were sore after that ride..! I hope you made it worth the journey by sampling either Parkgates' fish & chips or its famous ice cream shop, or preferably both..! The furthest we've done so far is New...

    Suspension seatposts

Is there a 'standard' seatpost diameter ? as I've found a few Post Moderne posts still available with varying sizes between 25.4mm and 27.2mm (Can't measure mine atm as its at home waiting for a tube/tyre swap after 2 punctures on last 2 rides..Doh..!)

Kit for a Trek Mountain Bike

Hi Tom. I converted my Giant 'comfort' style bike with an Ezee front wheel kit back in January and have been very happy with the result. I'm just fitting some upgrades including better 'v' brakes and separate shifters to replace the standard combo ones to enable fitting of the ezee cut-off...

New, confused and needing advice please!

Hi Nic. My wife has owned a Juicy Classic for nearly a year now and I fitted an Ezee kit to my Giant bike a few months ago so can hopefully offer some practical opinion on two of your choices. My wife is still loving the power and assistance offered by her Juicy Classic, even more so since I...

    Carrera Subway Conversion

Hi and welcome. +1 for the eZee kit, but I would say that as I've just fitted one to my bike... Cyclezee also got some good value full bikes with virtually same spec but ready-built and selling for the same price as his kits. I'd also have to rate the Juicy kit highly as my wife has one of Bob's...
