    This arrived today :)

How about something like this for a bottle holder ? Expensive for what it is but a good unused area to have a bottle cage, away from the nest of cables on the Oxygen (..and handy for my thermal coffee mug on my commute..)...

to shim or not to shim?

I'm still waiting for my ncx post to arrive James but you've got me worried now if the one that's specced at 31.6mm is actually that size or designed to fit tubes of that size so will it fit the Oxygen mtb seat tube..? Won't be long till I find out..!

    This arrived today :)

Thanks for the heads up on the seatpost James and Dubster. I did check my bike and its a 31.6 post then found Bike24.com do one in that size - check out link below: http://www.bike24.com/1.php?content=8;navigation=1;search=Ncx;menu=1000,2,110;product=84027 So should be ok hopefully..ordered...

    This arrived today :)

Not far behind you Ronny on 25ish after some more trails earlier. Its a very capable bike and yet to find any bad points, maybe apart from where to add a water bottle mount..any ideas ?..seatpost is not an option btw as Ive taken JamesW's advice and ordered a suntour ncx post. Also copied Rico...

Just a quickie, probably one for Dave as he knows his batteries, but is it recommended after first fully charging to then run the bike until the battery is depleted first time round..?

    This arrived today :)

Well spotted Rico..I'd tried under the bb and around the cranks where I'm sure John said it was but found mine now where you said. Does yours start with a 'W' ? It's hard to make out my first digit as it's not stamped that well. My kickstand arrived today and just fitted. Impresed again with the...

    This arrived today :)

Yeah nice one Rico, handy little guide that. Sorry but forgot to check for my bikes S/N last night...I'll have a look later though. Like the videos btw...I must be an anal e-biker for watching them too..mind you TV was carp last night..! I've got an old cam somewhere so if I can find it and it...

    This arrived today :)

I did try it for a bit on the top limit Ronny (on private land obviously..) but didn't hit top speed. I've since turned it back down as I want to stay legal and it encourages me to put more effort in myself. I tend to get lazy on my Ezee throttle bike.

    This arrived today :)

Mines going to be mainly for commuting too Ronny but I couldnt resist trying it off-road on a ride tonight on some single track grass and gravel paths behind the seafront. It handled well and felt planted for want of a better word. Some paths were covered in deepish soft sand and it cruised...

    This arrived today :)

Thanks for the pdf.. Cheers, yeah probably something silly like that I changed by mistake. When I spoke to John at Oxygen earlier (sending me the missing kickstand..) he confirmed the S/N is under the cranks/bottom bracket area I think he meant..? I've not looked for mine yet but will do to...

    Oxygen emate 3 months later....

Cheers Ronny. Just got off the phone to Oxygen to check and spoke to the owner John, who said some bikes arrived without the stands so he's going to courier me one out today. Top bloke !

    Oxygen emate 3 months later....

Interesting...did you ask for the stand to be fitted or is it standard kit on all Oxygen MTB's..? If so I need to ask Absolute bikes where mine is..

    This arrived today :)

Agree the power/torque in the CST motor is impressive, comparing to my old bike with an ezee kit on throttle only. Nice one, that would be great Ronny, and I'm sure appreciated by others with the same bike/ control panel on here.

    This arrived today :)

The LCD controller confused me a bit too Ronny. I managed to increase the speed limiter but in the process must have changed something else as the speed was reading permanently at 50mph virtually as soon as I got going, so no assist. Then I changed another setting from 6 to 1 or visa versa and...

    Oxygen emate 3 months later....

Collected my Oxygen MTB on Monday night from Absolute Bikes and had a cracking first ride on it last night (was tipping it down Monday night..:() I'll have to check my brake levers later and report back. I think both levers cut the power..but there's definitely a cut-out wire coming from both...

Where to try Cube Reaction Hybrid Pro 29er?

Nice one James. I'm sure you'll be pleased with the bike, and like you say its hard to find a performance line Bosch in the UK for under £2k (apart from the KTM cross 10 +) Enjoy..!

Where to try Cube Reaction Hybrid Pro 29er?

Thanks for the tip on the seat post James. I'd read before they're good but went for a cheaper Post Moderne Cushy for my current bike so will probably just swap that over. Mind you with the saving over the Cube I might be tempted if its that good..but meantime I'm looking at commuting essentials...

Where to try Cube Reaction Hybrid Pro 29er?

That is a good match for the Cube spec-wise Rob..and a cracking price. I started a thread recently about ordering a bike from MHW in Germany but listening to the advice given I decided against it in the end, preferring the safety and service of a UK dealer. I've decided to go for the Oxygen as...

Where to try Cube Reaction Hybrid Pro 29er?

I like the look of the Scott's too but they appear overpriced alongside the Cubes and KTMs. I agree it wouldn't be stupid to buy without trying but is a bit of a gamble as like John mentions I dont think distance selling regs are intended to cover you for extended testing. There's no substitute...
