Bit off topic I know but If we're talking ply, here's my last big plywood project. We used furniture grade 18mm Russian birch ply @ £75 per 8 x 4 sheet to create the box shelving. Thats one hell of a weight of ply hanging off that wall..!

I never knew there was so much to ply. Informative stuff. I'm not too fussed about the weight as it will be a relatively small piece, but more that it's strong enough, waterproof and wont need replacing down the line.
