    Snatchy BBS02 500

I have just built a BBS02b into a hardtail Kona. The motor is exactly as it left the factory, with 3 power levels. The motor pulls well enough but the take up is very abrupt, both from a standstill & after stopping pedalling. I previously had a GSM motor which was much smoother but less...

Befang 8fun motor from woosh krieger

According to the Woosh web site, the Krieger uses the TCM motor. I don't know if this motor is interchangeable with Bafang BBS motors. So perhaps as Andy has told the OP nothing else will fit. Sounds like one for Trex to answer. Steve

Shimano 3 speed Itegno rear hub.

Came across this on ebay Shimano Nexave ST-C530 three speed hub to take 8 speed cassette. Has anyone had any experience of this hub. If it is strong enough it might work very well with a crank drive motor.

    Number Two

Where did you get the steps crank arms from. Three centimetres is a huge reduction of the Q factor.

GSM Are the later ones better?

I have one of the very first batch, Though I have only recently started using it. I have most of the problems reported by others. I saw a post by Trex saying that the version fitted in the Woosh Bali is successful. Does anybody agree, or would I be better off giving up on it & getting a BBS 01...

    Update: - mid motor install

Hi Nealh. If you google Precialps you will find it . I had a look on the site & the 36 tooth is not in stock. However they do have a 42 tooth which has the same chain line as the original steel ring. It costs 69 euros (the 36 was only 39 euros) The narrow wide teeth do seem to work, I have not...

    Update: - mid motor install

Hi. I have a GSM which seems to be the same as the Bafang on the outside. I found the 46 tooth chain ring & 11-28 cassette too high geared. I could have fitted an 11-34 cassette but with 8 speed the last step up to the 34 is massive. I bought a Precialpe?? 36 tooth chain ring with "narrow- wide"...

    Gsm vs bbs01

If the chain is too tight for the tensioner to deflect it, it is too tight. If you wait for the chain to stretch enough for the tensioner to work properly the chain will need replacing. To change the topic slightly, I have had two kits & the rubber shims for the LCD mount are to fit on the 22.2...

    Gsm vs bbs01

Has anyone noticed that the chaincase screw in the 10 o'clock position is very loose, if so is there a reason? I have the twistgrip & want to fit grips with built in bar ends. I was thinking about sawing off most of the grip & bonding on a thumb lever but this would still take up a fair bit of...

    Fitting the GSM kit

I have a problem with the back of the gearbox hitting the drive side chainstay. I need to either make a 1.5 mm spacer or smite the chainstay a mighty blow. If I do the latter I will need to put a wheel in the dropouts to stop them spreading, but I don't know if they would spring apart when I...

    Gsm vs bbs01

Is there a problem with the APT or KT LCD's, or is it just that they are harder to get hold of?

    Gsm vs bbs01

Hi. This is my first post, I have followed this thread for a while now. None of the posts seem to address the original question "Why is the GSM so much cheaper" I am fairly sure I will buy one or the other in the near future but I have not been able to find any info on the GSM . Not even who...
