The best to do is to test ride and have a feel of it. I have been with my ebrompton for 3 years and I find it a lot nippy than my 26 inch electric bike.

As Dave suggested it is better to buy the full set as they dont cost much. My battery only weighs 1.1kg and it is MAC Allister 36v battery (you can check it on google but it is out of stock everywhere) I used to have 36v 10AH lifepo4 around 4 kg but I found it too heavy to in the front. Pat

Mine has a q100 36v 328rpm running 36v 4ah battery. The top speed is 15mph. Controller is s06s and pas 12 magnets version

It should be straight forward as they are colour coded. Phase wires are a lot thank than hall wires so you won't them mix up

Thanks Dave. Can you tell me how do I test it? if you could show me the wiring that would be great. I have so far tested the connection between the white wire of the motor and the white wire of the controller via the speed sensor plug. I do have the external speed sensor connected.

Just connect the White wire from the motor to the white wire of the speed sensor wire. There is no different either P= 0 or 1. Still doing the wrong speed and going to 0 mph with no power to the motor

The first method does not work so I move on the next step you said The motor does have 6 hall wires but I left the white one disconnected. Can I connect this white wire to the white wire of the speed sensor from the controller ?

Make sure the screws on the hub is tight and sealed especially the disc rotor screws. The water can get it and corrode the motor.

Btw I also did what Dave suggested. Everything is boxed and mounted on the stem apart From the battery. I only need to unplug the battery connector to the controller when charging. It is a lot easier

Yes it shows mph. If I use 16 inch it will give me 11.2 mph max but 15.4 mph on 22 inch setting. And yes it goes Zero when the motor freewheels
