Just ordered a Fore Rider (Bluetooth phone display adapter)

This is interesting and of great interest to me because I have arthritis. The stupid EU rule against throttles is of great concern. I look forward to Brexit and hope that we can overturn this unwanted rule.

Correct me if I am wrong, but all these bolt on electronics require you to stick your smart phone on the handlebar?

What's the deal with frequently broken spokes?

Woosh, You know only too well that truing a wheel is a dark art and the novice initiate has to spend years in a secret cavern learning the spells before being let loose on a real wheel.

In a decent country they would be told, no, this is a highway and cannot be closed for private reasons. Walk, OR Get a Bike!

    Time for a new battery

Might be teaching Grandma etc. When you try to measure the battery voltage at the connecting pins, remember to switch it on.

    Sparkle destroying my Powerpole 45A

There is always a 'crack' when I connect the 'kettle' plug of my TONARO to the 36 volt battery. Never seems to have done any damage over 6 years.

A random thread for things too unimportant for their own thread...

I survived school rugby but my son tore the ligaments in his arm and needed an operation, screws into the bone etc. then a further operation to remove said screws. Quite frankly, it is an idiotic game, fine for adults who want face danger, but youngsters under 18 should not play it. It is...

Amazing how many top cyclists have asthma ?

I feel sorry for genuine asthmatics. My late wife suffered for years, and when a person is having an attack they can get panicky and take too much (as far as sport is concerned) but the main target during an attack is to restore normality. I had a stomach ulcer and during an attack would munch...

EBMA files an anti dumping complaint on chinese e-bikes.

My best guess is that in the traditional British way we will muddle our way through this. We keep looking at Brexit plus one day, yet as the years continue to roll on there will be constant changes to cope with whatever the situation is that presents itself.

EBMA files an anti dumping complaint on chinese e-bikes.

I don't see why it should. As I have said, we are not terribly concerned as to what comes in, so a soft border will do fine. On the other hand, I guess that the EU will become concerned as goods subject EU Anti Dumping tariffs etc. come into the EU from the UK.

EBMA files an anti dumping complaint on chinese e-bikes.

My main point is that it will be the EU not the UK that will be bothered about what is crossing the border. As far as I can see, our only concern will be immigrants, guns, explosives, drugs etc.

EBMA files an anti dumping complaint on chinese e-bikes.

So, how is the soft border in Ireland going to work? The UK will probably not apply Anti dumping tariffs, so the Chinese will send all their goods to Belfast docks, they will then cross the soft border into the EU?
