DfT release findings of 2 year EPAC consultation

My home town of Barry has some `killer` hills that are positively cruel to my front hub 200W motor , so I dismount and `drive `my machine up while walking alongside . I hardly use the throttle otherwise . Why the keenness to scrap it when it has it`s uses ?

    Higher power regulations

The advantages of the Ebike would be lost if you have to go through the same hassle as powered two wheelers ie testing , insurance , parking restrictions , helmet etc . I already have to go through that 3 times with my bikes and once with a car annually . No thanks !

    Presteigne

I have never been to Presteigne , but reading about it in the `Telegraph` and looking it up got me interested in Ebikes in the first place . It`s more central to the UK than London . Why has everything got to be in London ?

It had to happen one day .

Someone who remains Anonymous has posted in the MCN Legal questions section today that he is being prosecuted for having no Insurance on his Ebike . Apparently he collided with a bus and he says that when he bought it, the Supplier said it was road legal as a cycle . The Legal person replying ...

    MINI Folding Bike

Morphix I have a 20in. wheeled Folding Batribike which is too low geared , I presume to make it easier to ride home without power when the battery fails . It is certainly not fast , on medium assist which I mainly use , I only manage to put 10 miles into every hour , riding at a comfortable pace...

    Heated Gloves

Tony I have just looked at their leaflet and the offers were valid from 2/11 to 24/12 and the price was £14.99 reduced from £24.99 . I bought a pack of 12 Maplin AA Extra Longlife Batteries for £3.99 but the 99p Shop has 4 Panasonic AA`s for 99p and often they give you another 4 free . Maplins...

    Heated Gloves

I haven`t ridden with them yet , but have just tested them and the batteries are actually AA not the smaller AAA . In 5 minutes they are nice and warm . They will be handy for walks as well . The palms are the same grippy material as skiing gloves .

    Bad News

Can`t see why the Cyclists need to stick their beaks in our Ebike business .The input should come from the Ebike people , after all we ride them . It would be interesting to see how many accidents E bikes have been involved in .

Lidls do Motorcycle socks now and again , they are even marked L and R . The karrimore lined trousers from Sports Direct that were recommended on the Forum some time ago take care of the legs . Until a month ago I was wearing them on my Scooter . I think they were about £16 reduced from an...

    Buying your first e-bike

Dave they are very handy points to consider when purchasing an Ebike .When I bought my Batribike Quartz Folder , I liked the looks , rode once around the car park and bought it . I went to the Dealer so I could see it and my main concern was to have somewhere to take it back if it went wrong ...

    Batribike`s First Birthday

Just done another circuit of Cardiff Airport today and picked more blackberrries , not bad for November ! I noticed new blackberry flowers coming out , I like this global warming . The battery on the Quartz failed 10 yards from home after 27 miles , a mix of mainly medium assist , occasionally...
