Need help with replacement battery for Green Edge bike

If it comes off sideways, it's probably this one: https://bmsbattery.com/ebike-battery/932-17806-36v10ah116ah14ah-new-bottle-battery-pack.html#/138-color-silver/319-display-no_display/512-cells_capacity-25ah_high_c_rate_10ah/519-controller-without_controller That type is difficult to re-cell...

    'whaTTfornow' new? Electric bike

I forgot about this one. tom stanton does a lot of interesting stuff - worth folling if you're interested in that sort of thing: As an aside, after watching that , google took me to this. can anyone see the glaring error in his build:

    Cyclematic powerplus

There's no power in those wires, so in principle yes, but copper corrodes in air, which would give problems in the long-term. Maybe add some silicone grease or vaseline to keep out the air.

    'whaTTfornow' new? Electric bike

Before crank-drive kits were available, I made my own. Instead of running the drive to the left crank, I could have run it to the rear hub left side with an Izip adapter. That's quite a lot of complication to get a handling a tiny bit improved. I cut down a steel hub to get the thread for the...

    Cyclematic powerplus

All the common pedal sensors have three wires. The third wire on your bike is a red one from the pedal sensor that's connected to a white one in the throttle cable. The Cyclamatic wiring is unusual in that instead of getting the 5v direct from the controller, it takes a branch off the throttle's...

Spreading rear stays for hub motor

It's not the frame width that's holding the wheel in. I'm going to guess that it's the wheel nut or its washer that can't pass the derailleur boss. Instead of just loosening the but, screw it right off the axle and pull the washer off too. When everything is clear, assuming that you have the...

    New battery help!

Sorry, you're right. I was looking at the SW900 manual, but I must have crooked eyes. It's these bloody cheap verifocals that make straight lines curved.

    Wisper 806 throttle

Have a word with Woosh or Wisper. There's probably something they can do. Some bikes are or can be supplied with a 6km/hr throttle, which is legal. It's normally a simple job to change a setting so that it works full range if you can find out how. If you're going to do that, don't hand over any...

Help with new Claud Butler Haste E Contoller

You don't need a new battery. You only need to replace the controller and control panel. Topbikekit have some that fit in a Hailong battery receiver, but make sure that you get the same shape. There are two different similar ones.

    New battery help!

Error 6 is motor problem - nothing to do with voltage or current.

    2nd bike build

That's got some problems to overcome. The small chainwheel is just too small for an electric bike, and it doesn't have much room for increasing it. Once tou've solved that, you're on your way. A crank might might fit as long as your bike doesn't have one of those swelled up BB tubes. You'll have...

    Hello

Follow the wire from the torque sensor all the way to the connector. Either the wire is damaged or there's water in the connector. You get that problem when there's a short between the red and the yellow wires. Also, the cable could be pulled from the torque sensor if the chain came off, but if...

    'whaTTfornow' new? Electric bike

Sorry, you need to think about that one! Wouldn't just a motor be better? There are several ebike systems that already do it. If you want to make your own, use a hub-motor with a belt drive.

    Help! Lightweight fold up bike

I think you got it right. they put a big motor in for the US moped brigade. If I had a frame like that, I'd put an Ak85C in it, which is a more reliable motor than the Bafang, though less powerful. It would also have worked well with a Q100H (AKM100), which still would have saved over 1kg. A...

    New battery help!

That'll probably be your motor cable. Check that it's connected properly first, just in case there's an easy solution.

    Help! Lightweight fold up bike

It seems to be a bit of a contradiction. I can't see the sense in fitting a big heavy motor into a carbob fibre bike. why didn't they fit a light-weight one, like AKM85C, which is probably a better motor anyway? Their motor just looks out of place to me. Why did they have to use a daft BB PAS...

    Carrera vengeance ebyke mk2

Can you show some pictures? I thought the controller was in the bottom of the battery receiver, like on the Crossfire and Vulcan. Have they changed that too in the mk2 version. It would have been better to have taken the opportunity to change the controller to a different one with a...

What is everyone's opinion on this set up?

It's £473 from China, but you'll probably have to pay duty on it, which could be as much as £100. These motors are relatively easy to fit, but there can be a lot of messing about afterwards. From unknown Chinese suppliers, you often get daft software settings, so you need the programming cable...
