How to add a throttle to a Carrera Vengeance E Spec

Error 21 on startup as usual, but i can see from the code we are not passing anything to A5 so its natural. EDIT: I'll try that updated code.

How to add a throttle to a Carrera Vengeance E Spec

Yup it blinks if you crank it. Want to know any readings on the multimeter?

How to add a throttle to a Carrera Vengeance E Spec

Both times it was off. Only when throttle is applied it blinks.

How to add a throttle to a Carrera Vengeance E Spec

The data i got when turning the cranks slowly i see it rising from 1.13v (or 1.15) to 3.83v but it will remain on 3.83v when there is no motion on the crank until you slowly pedal it again and you see the same result

How to add a throttle to a Carrera Vengeance E Spec

No, if it turn on the pedals there is no blinking. Turning on the throttle is a solid light. Also it still failed with error 21 on power on

How to add a throttle to a Carrera Vengeance E Spec

Yes, and also tried without. EDIT: I just saw that i copied your old code before it was edited.

How to add a throttle to a Carrera Vengeance E Spec

Tried it, just on power up it went error 21. EDIT: Tested to see if the arduino is ok and its responding ok. Also confirmed the wiring is ok by connecting the torque without the nano so it proves its the code. (wanted to make sure i'm ok on my side before sending us all on a wild goose chase)

How to add a throttle to a Carrera Vengeance E Spec

I'm following what has been posted here, so the code is the latest from raj with your modifications you requested to change and the diagram is the same as raj. Now i can't debug mine since i don't have access to it (long story short my nano does not have a bootloader so it can be instant on...

How to add a throttle to a Carrera Vengeance E Spec

Lets get the chart back to the front page for reference, as we can see 4.3 is the max voltage with the max cadence we can produce, so the minimum cadence signal we produce would be 1.5v

How to add a throttle to a Carrera Vengeance E Spec

This is where i suspect the cadence needs to match the voltage as the chart showed. Edit: Yeah, came too late and woosh got it right

How to add a throttle to a Carrera Vengeance E Spec

Indeed we do, someone a while back posted the official suntour hesc pas pin layout and we identified from it the yellow wire is the Torque out and the green wire is the Cadence. EDIT: I should also point out i confirmed the Torque out voltage indeed responds when supplied with 1.5v and if more...

How to add a throttle to a Carrera Vengeance E Spec

I have been successful on modifying part of the code so that throttle works while sending the values to the torque (so it won't cause error 21 or 22). My trouble right now is the the detection of the pedals to pass-throw. Keep in mind I'm learning as i go, so this is all new to me.

How to add a throttle to a Carrera Vengeance E Spec

Ok I have returned. I assembled everything with a 3d printed box and the one thing that i didn't test because of my tight workspace was the pedals. And of course the pedal sensor doesn't function at this point. My findings is the following: - The only way that i can make the throttle work...

How to add a throttle to a Carrera Vengeance E Spec

I thought i made a quick post regarding this. Just before i went on vacation i managed to get it to work on my carrera vengeance e bike as well (the new version) Sorry for the wire spaghetti mess, but i do have it all on video with a throttle working and on a whiteboard showing where it all...
