Help! Newbie to battery packs and BMS could do with some advice please!

One more thing to note - mobility scooters & electric wheelchairs often require a certain amount of 'ballast' in order to provide stability. In these cases, lead acid (or LiFePo4) makes perfect sense. Electric bikes only suffer with unnecessary mass and benefit from modern batteries with the...

Newbie considering an e-conversion. But what.

Sorry, I do not understand the point that you are trying to make, or who you are arguing with. A 1000W rated motor is not permitted under EN15194. A 250W rated motor being supplied 1000W by the controller is perfectly legal, as long as it conforms to all the other rules stipulated by EN15194.

Newbie considering an e-conversion. But what.

It's easy to become confused by conflicting opinions on the matter, but VFR is correct. The 250W rating as defined by EN15194 refers to a motor's 'maximum continuous rated power'. However, there is no limit placed on the actual power supplied to the motor from the controller.

Panasonic throttle not working with Cycle Analyst

Switch to the diagnostics screen (the one with the throttle 'in' and 'out' voltages) and let us know what they read at both 'no throttle' and 'full throttle'. You should end up with four readings in total.

New to e bikes .chargeing question

All European AC EV chargers, regardless of charging speed, output 230VAC and are converted into DC by a rectifier located inside the vehicle. Their output current defines whether they are ‘slow’, ‘fast’ or ‘rapid’ chargers. Charging speed is irrelevant when using them to charge a regular...

New to e bikes .chargeing question

A 'rapid' EV charger wont charge your battery any quicker than a 'domestic' 13A socket, since the charge rate is still regulated by your ebike charger.

New to e bikes .chargeing question

Anyone making their own T2>BS1363 adapter cable needs to include a manual release switch, else they won't be able to remove it from the charger once charging has completed.

Help! Onebot No throttle pulling issue

Hi. Your freehub/freewheel is sticking. This causes the chain to move as you wheel the bike forwards, which in turn spins the pedals/BB and attached PAS sensor. If you prevent the pedals from spinning as you wheel the bike, you should find that the motor no longer kicks in.

You're asking the wrong person. All my bikes use high C rate LiCo cells and allow charging at 3000W.
