Reached the limit of my brompton..

Before you start drilling CWAH are you familiar with Easyout Screw Extractors ? These come in a kit of 5 to cover a range of sizes ie diameters . If you are not , google `screw and bolt remover `. Scroll down to Screw Extractor/ Easyout / broken bolt removal - You Tube the 2min 12 sec demo ...

    Throttles NOT illegal in EU

On full assist and pedalling hard I can reach about 14.6 mph but can`t keep it up for long . It would be a choice between falling off through exhaustion or friction burns in places that I wouldn`t want to show the Nurse . The Malmesbury Batribike Agent was altering the sprockets for £100 when...

    Throttles NOT illegal in EU

No Morphix the folder is way too low geared at least when pedalling . The Motor is only 200 W and the Voltage 24 . I`ve felt more power coming out of a fresh bottle of Tesco shandy .

    350W BMS Battery legality problem

If only the Border Agency concentrated on all the Illegals, rather than motors with a few too many watts . With all the illegal bikes on here without plates , the powers that be could nab us as a Group and we would be putty in their hands . There wouldn`t be enough jails in the London area, as...

    Throttles NOT illegal in EU

To get anywhere approaching 15 mph on my Batribike Folder I would need to lie prone and have 10 miles of flat windless road available . The motor seems gutless unless the silence is fooling me . I can honestly state that the buildings are not flying past anyway . Time for an experiment with my...

    Left hand throttles:no thanks!

And me Hoppy . After riding Motorcycles and Scooters with a RH throttle for 54 years , LH is a no no . Funny that, as I have ridden machines with LH and RH foot gear changes without any problems . I must have the hands of a pianist and the foot of a Footballer . No unfortunately I can`t play the...

Throttles and the other EU nations

I don`t use the throttle for riding but when a nasty hill and low battery power coincide , I hop off and walk alongside and use the throttle to drive the machine up at my walking pace to conserve what power is left . It would be a shame to lose this facility because of some non Ebike riding...

    350W BMS Battery legality problem

Judging by some of the postings saying that motors put out more power than quoted , just do the simple thing and change the sticker , simple .

    Woosh/Funkylyn Collaboration......

The joint effort of Hatti and Lynda should be very similar to the Kudos Safari which has a large seat height adjustment range . It would need to be a bit lighter though and lose a few £`s .

    Woosh/Funkylyn Collaboration......

A Tandem with seats facing each other so that you can gaze into each others eyes ? Oh and don`t fit a reverse gear .

Yet another 20 inch Bosch bike

That`s a beautiful machine Eddie , if that was a Woosh or a Kudos , I`d be `phoning my order in pronto .

    More Ebike Converts

The Sunday Times Columnist Daisy Goodwin seems to be very pleased with her new Sparta Ebike . She appears to be a Commuter who mentions riding in kitten heels and reaching 22 mph to put one over the Lycra brigade . The article appears in the News Review Section page 4 . I gave some demo rides to...

    Grease.

Neptune you can either visit a Garden Centre or a Motorcycle Dealer , the latter may be more up your street ! Look at Motul Tech Grease 300 , a multi purpose semi-synthetic complex lithium NLG1 2 for extreme pressure . It must be good as it`s a tenner for a 200 gm tube . Lithium Multi purpose...

    Annoying click

If you suspect the pedal , swap that pedal for a spare and see if the noise is still there . If you haven`t a spare the 99P Shop has them in yellow and black . Don`t forget the pedal thread though ie different for L and R .

Riding unpowered...do you still get a kick from it?

Not anymore, as the ride on my Batribike Folder is plush with the sprung seatpost and the `inexpensive `telescopic front forks . I have a 33 year old German Folder and a 19 year old GT Talera if I want to rough it . Have I mentioned my two 31 year old Classic powered Suzuki`s ? What will become...

What bike test-drive policies do you have?

Hatti at Woosh seems to have a good solution . If you have a Woosh Ebike you can sign up to be a demonstrator and prospective buyers can , if you are willing , have a short test ride . If this leads to a sale Hatti sends you £15 .

What about incorporating the PRC on that flag . No not that one , the People`s Republic of Cymru of course .

    Spot the difference...

The Chinese makers of my Batribike had stamped Leisger Germany on the Controller casing which I must admit did give me confidence , but if they had put a German flag on there I would have peeled it off . Must be my age ?

    Spot the difference...

Perhaps the TV Manufacturers provide a clue . Toshiba have` Assembled in Poland ` on the plate at the back and Panasonic have `Assembled in the Czech Republic` . I made a point of buying a Sony TV when they started production in Bridgend and found that the 22in colour sets were made in Japan ...

    Puffin Bikes

Puffin I`m not sure Police Forces have adopted particular Ebikes , more like gratefully` received `from the suppliers .They probably have adverts on them like some of the cars received in the same way . I agree with your views on disc brakes, nothing wrong with simple blocks . Most have forks...
