    Tarred with the same brush

It hasn`t taken long for people in Authority to mention Ebikes in the same breath as EScooters when it comes to Lithium Battery fires . A London Fire Service Person did so yesterday and I noticed someone on You Tube saying that EScooters should be banned for this very reason .

Jim throw away that support and do what our Ancestors did with chest ailments . Rub in Goose grease , if it worked for chests it must for knees .

Lightening does strike twice in the same place .

After yesterday`s adventure with my Fat Tyre I thought I would follow the same route on my Batribike Quartz Folder . Before setting off I changed the innertube in the rear tyre . I had been given a slime filled tube as a present and have had nothing but trouble with it . Slime oozing out ...

    Fat Tyre Essentials

Punctures in any bike are a nuisance but the thought of getting one in a 20x4 in. tyre did worry me . For 3 years and 2500 miles my rides on this machine were trouble free , until today . I never leave home on any of my Ebikes without a battery powered Inflator and a puncture repair spray . In...

    Interesting BMW ebike proposals

I tested one of those when they came out and it caused a stir when I rode it down the main street in Barry . Shame it was killed off here . It was rather top heavy but the Aprilia 125 cc Motor was adequate . Graphite /carbon fibre construction might have fixed too much weight high up .

    EU Red Tape Bonfire

Flecc I would be highly delighted if two of my machines made the legal powered speed , they start losing power before 14 mph . I supposed the Manufacturers are nervous of turning out machines capable of exceeding 15. 6 mph and upsetting the Regulators . I am only interested in the lower powered...

    EU Red Tape Bonfire

My 11 year old Batribike Folder was from before the EU Rules were altered . It came with a throttle and a 200 watt front wheel motor . It has the walk assist 6 km/hr throttle position which I use on really steep hills . I never use the full throttle on this one as the power is so weak and I...

    EU Red Tape Bonfire

Jacob Rees Mogg is looking for EU Regulations to be binned and asking for suggestions . Firstly I suggested that Creosote should be available for Individuals to purchase in small quantities, as Water Based Preservatives are hopeless at protecting Fences and Sheds . My other suggestion involved...

    Winter 2nd ebike?

You need one with decent mudguards for Winter riding . Country lanes in my area are often lower than fields either side and often assume the role of rivers in parts . Even riding through a trickle of water on my Fat Tyre results in a wet lap . The abbreviated front mudguard is next to useless .
