    Touring pack list

@matthewslack FYI. Plenty of room in your trailer. I wish I'd known the last tip on the list, having recently ventured through wildest Rhyl. l

    Electification

I realise that, or there would be a choice. Just planting a seed of an idea, maybe ask your supplier? It would be useful on the front of a Brompton.

    Electification

The frog battery I've seen has a red light on it for when mounted on the rear, useless for the front. @Woosh Can there be a choice, a replacement white lens appropriate for the front?

    KT LCD p1 won't save

Update, I moved the wheel speed sensor wire away from the rest of the wires, lo and behold, it works. So all now functioning as it should.

Storing battery outside in winter - what insulation?

Isn't the problem of low temp to do with charging, not storage or use?

Safe cycle routes. Are there any really?

    PAS level slider

My throttle is programmed to go up to 9, whatever setting is currently active, so for that boost on hills, or to stand on pedals and zoom over bumpy ground, it's perfect.

Has anyone tried this "For Bafang" thumb throttle?

I like that, ordered one to try on the 'bent tandem, where there is little room now I've fitted twist gear changers. I just noticed you sent me a link for a mifi router, thanks. If I was a permanent liveaboard I would go for one, but there are 12v models available, just put the 240/12 plug in...

    KT LCD p1 won't save

I sent an email to torquetech, I got the kit from them. Interesting reply, a possible solution. The P1 range in the destruction manual is an error, it should read 20-255. So it won't save owt below 20. Hi Jim I have a previous customer that once experienced the very same problem with a...

    Return to the bent!

I know, but a DD motor has no reduction ratio, it's 1:1.

    Return to the bent!

Except if the magnet count figure just won't save, I've got another thread running about this issue, I can't get the controller to save anything below 20, the magnet count on DD motor is 18, so no need to do the sum with gearing.

    KT LCD p1 won't save

Setting p1 to 46 made it worse. From what I've read with a DD motor p1 equals the number of magnets, which makes sense if p1-20 is almost right. The destruction manual says p1 can be 1 -255 IMMSMR, so why won't anything below 20 save. So I tried a different tack, wheelspeed sensor with...

    KT LCD p1 won't save

I have an old crystalyte DD hub, resurrected with KT 25a controller and lcd3, working fine, but just can't get the P1 magnet count to stick below 20. Afaik there are 18 magnets. The speed is 1 or 2 mph below actual, as checked with a speed app on phone. I've tried a variety of options, setting...

    Titanium wrist electric shock risk?

I had an altercation with a tram line grabbing my front wheel, it wasn't at all bothered by the barking dog alarm. While not as bad as a badger buggered wrist it still took a while to heal, so I bought a sit up and beg swept back handlebar, already had palm grips, so I could sit more upright...

A pen to plug in to your bike

A new pen has been invented, battery powered, ball point - an eBic. Where's my coat?

    Return to the bent!

The lcd3 I just fitted had a separate wired 3 button switch, it only has a short wire to fit on handlebars next to display, I had to extend it to fit between the display on the bent boom and the handlebars.

    Return to the bent!

I have a tandem bent, finally found a round tuit to get it sorted, it has an old crystalyte 400 series dd front hub, I've just fitted a new KT controller and display, the up, on/off, down switch wire had to be extended to fit on the handlebars. I soldered the wires with small heat shrink on each...

A trailer for ebike or non ebike towing.

Welded, not, brazed, a bit of 25 x 5 flat bar with a bit of 12 x 3 flat br for the little cup. I have an ancient sip stick welder, I must have had it for 40 years. It's just a big transformer, nothing to go wrong now the broken switch has been bypassed , just plug it in.

A trailer for ebike or non ebike towing.

Re the tow hitch dropping down under load, I adapted mine with a brace, posted it before but can't find it. There's a bit of webbing in the cup that fits under frame to stop scratching.
