    Hornit bike horn

That's a bit harsh on the poor Hornit. Is it the little push button switch? You can just disconnect that when you park up. I bought another, for the 'bent e tandem, it seems louder, probably v2. Neither had gone off by themselves. You should get back to Hornit, if it's a common issue they need...

Why is so much illegal 'commuting' not policed ?

That's a confusing reply, telling me you wouldn't be ashamed then angry faces????? If you are playing Peter Perfect you need to get it right. ;) So who here hasn't hit 36mph in a 30 a few times over 20 years? The first course was on in a trial being run in Lancashire, over a full day with...

Why is so much illegal 'commuting' not policed ?

Having done 6 speed awareness courses* over about 20 years I can answer the "How do I drive at 20?" Conundrum. I tried it in North Welsh Wales a couple of weeks ago. I was told 3rd for 30, so tried 2nd for 20 and it works. *I collected enough left over free pens after each course to last until...

Aldi 145L "Heavy Duty" Trunk £17.99

I was surprised that, if the axle wasn't really tight, it began to lever itself out of the frame slot. It's ok good and tight.

Parking a bike in the rain

doesn't she complain about the rain and mud, aside from being a bit uncomfortable with the bottle being where it is? Being serious for once, I was given a Halfrauds bike cover, silver polythene, so prone to getting punctured, easily repairable with a bit of gaffer tape and fits over the whole...

Aldi 145L "Heavy Duty" Trunk £17.99

My Ikea trailer has a side frames around the platform, I've looked at those boxes before, too long to fit. I could do with one about 3/4 the length.

Ooops! Water in battery case, won't charge.

Update on the update, now all dried out reassembled and working fine. Phew! At least I kno how to check battery cell state with meter. Also don't leave battery upside down in rain, it really isn't waterproof that way up!

Ooops! Water in battery case, won't charge.

It wasn't actually the bike that got left out in the rain, I left the battery out, I'd put it down upside down so water gathered in it*. After last nights meter testing is full - 41v, I'm wondering if its the led voltage level gubbins that has suffered. The initial symptom I noticed, when I...

Ooops! Water in battery case, won't charge.

Update. Tony woosh has advised me to talk to Andy woosh, will do. However, having read the replies and using stuff sucked up by osmosis reading the forum I've done some checks with meter and nose. Nose tells me there's a fried vole odour around the BMS. Meter tells me, taking the cumulative...

Ooops! Water in battery case, won't charge.

Just found water in the battery case, HL 36v 17ah. I'd left the bike out in the rain last week. The battery is now showing only a glimmer of red on the scale when I push the button on the case, reading 36.04v with the meter, the charger light is staying green when I connect the charger so it...

    Q100 motor – parameter P1 explained – speed alignment

Just to add a point, there's an error in the lcd3 display manual, it says the range of P1 is 1 - 255 . It isn't, it's 20-255. With a direct drive motor p1 should be equal to the number of magnets, 18 in a crystalyte 408. However, as I found trying to set up my DD motor, it will not save a...
