Prices of the electricity we use to charge

Oh, I don't know. It causes me to be joyful, watching Clarkson suffer! The issue to be addressed, to help small farmers, is the greed of the supermarkets and the fact that we, the public, don't want to pay a fair price for our veg.

Prices of the electricity we use to charge

While my post followed yours it wasn't specific to it, just general thoughts. But if the cap fits. It's the conclusions following the analysis and the basis of them that are the problem. I'm off on my bike caring and sharing.

OK, it's not a bike, but it is electric... Bubble cars are back!

Once followed a Twizy from Wrynose Bottom* up Wrynose Pass, don't know if he'd come up and over Hardknott. *My fave road ever, first heard it mentioned as we passed a sign for it on a family day out, aged 8, you can imagine the hilarity, not seeing it written. Not long ago I was overjoyed when...

Don't drive around in your rolls with your eyes shut then. How many do you accumulate on that big bonnet before the chauffeur has to clear them off?

    Domestic Water Pressure

A house I was buying in winter 1979 did the same thing, luckily I had a mate who lived close by and heard the drips, the faeries had copied the key when it was loaned out for the viewing, so I went in and turned the water off. it was a doer-upper property so no harm done. it turned out that the...

Converting a tandem with 500w Bufang Rear Hub Motor - powerful enough?

A self inflating body suit would be great. The thing is, while her body has shut down she is fully conscious, similar to sleep paralysis, so she knows the big truck is bearing down on us! In the stoker seat on the tandem she is fine, I stop in case her feet drop off the pedals, not happened yet...

Converting a tandem with 500w Bufang Rear Hub Motor - powerful enough?

Not quite, Noreen suffers from Cataplexy, a full body muscle weakness/paralysis triggered by all sorts of things, a woodpecker in the garden, getting 3/4 of the way across a busy road, or the power kicking in and taking the effort off her feet so she can no longer pedal. Life is such fun! I can...

    West Yorkshire Member

I've seen lots of tyre tracks on beaches. It should be possible to ride on the beach without going in the water. Might need a new chain and cogs after every trip. But as the miseries say, life's a beach and then it dies. Ignore them and have fun. I recall teararsing up and down a beach on my...

Converting a tandem with 500w Bufang Rear Hub Motor - powerful enough?

Just to contribute my two penn'orth, from the other side of the hill in Littleborough. We have a recumbent tandem (because wife can't ride an ordinary bike, she'd fall off). It came with a crystallite front hub motor with knackered controller and battery pack originally fitted pre 2016. I fitted...

Legal status of ebikes that are identical to those that have gone through the DVSA approval process but haven't been tested

Ooh, had one of them, 1959 Thunderbird. Stripped the crap off, including the kiddy slicer and fitted a Bonneville twin carb head and 10:1 pistons. Zoom zoom. Sold it with all the bits and it was rebuilt by an enthusiast.

    Phylion battery query

thanks for your input everone, been away on holiday, spent a few days playing on the North Wales Cycleway on the recumbent tandem. I'll get back onto the battery soon. Just moved house, downsized from 3 bed semi to a bungalow, hence the trip to the tip and finding the battery.

    Phylion battery query

Thanks, hmm, wonder if it's worth the expense of a new charger. Perhaps I'll try it out, see how it lasts and then source a charger if it's good for a few miles. I fitted a cradle for my other down tube 17ah battery on the bent rear rack so I use that normally. Does anyone have an old compatible...
