    Speed Difference

My Shimano Step 2 display reads a greater distance travelled than my Garmin watch does. I believe the watch over the display.

petition to increase the speed limit

Increase the speed limit to 20mph and you would probably wipe out any resale value 15.5 mph eBikes currently have. My take on paying "Tax" or Vehicle Exercise Duty is again No. VED is charged based on emissions. My electric car attracts no VED so why should my eBike ?

    lost keys haibike

I have taken photos, phone camera, of my battery keys as they have numbers engraved on them. Also photographed my frame number, battery details and distinguishing features ( read scratch's and minor scuffs) on my bike. Thanks to Google there are at least 2 copies of said photos "in the Cloud".

Another perk for your Member of Parliament.

https://www.thetimes.co.uk/article/tax-break-for-mps-and-3-000-staff-to-get-on-2-500-e-bikes-b7r8xcwhg An increase from £1000 to £2500 on the cycle to work scheme for MP's and their staff. They can also claim 20 pence a mile whilst using their new eBikes on official business. Wonder what the...

    Long distance commute bike

Please bear in mind the UK legal speed assistance is 15.5mph. I find on long rides the best and easiest speed to maintain is somewhere between 14 to 16 mph. Although your average speed is greatly improved with an eBike you are looking at possibly a 2 and a half to 3 hour commute one way. Just my...

Recommend me an iPhone holder for middle of handlebars

Have a look at the free Endomondo app. You can either create a route or give it a start point and required distance and it will create a route for you. Either option downloadable to your phone. With Google maps you can also save a route offline to your phone. You don't get live traffic updates...

    Help! Advice (First Purchase)

Also is having a discreet ebike a safer option in practice or does it make little difference? My battery is hardly discreet but it requires a key to remove from the bike. I never leave my battery or display on the bike if I park it up anywhere. Battery fits in rucksack and is carried . Even when...

Good to hear you are both happy with your purchase. Just hope the Bosch/Crank mounted hater refrains from raining on your parade.

Review Whats the diffrence btween both e-bikes ?

Have to say I am so far impressed with my Alfine Hub gears. Found gear changing much more positive if I momentarily cease pedling whilst I press the gear change button. Automatic change down to my pre selected start off gear upon stopping is another good feature.

Advice about buying an electric bike to transport two children in a trailer

Anyone else think she should budget to upgrade, at least the front brake, to disc brakes ? At least once a day she will be descending the hill with a trailer and two children "pushing" her.

Is it worth using a tracker?

I use a Garmin Forerunner 35 to track my bike rides. You can set it to disguise your Home starting point if you share to social media ect. You still see your start and end points but everyone else just sees a circular route with no start or end points.

    Buying an e-bike from US

Welcome. What particular USA models are you looking at ? Dont wish to keep banging the drum but are you aware of the UK legal limit of 250 watt motor and 15.5mph assistance ? If you are aware I apologise.
