    Bosch charger repair

A further reason for the "man on the street" to not purchase anything from Bosch perhaps? Andy

    Bosch charger repair

I am unable to view the pictures, but talking generally, and assuming you are in a position to do the work, or have someone do it for you, is to identify the components, buy them and get both the plug and the socket replaced. Its not a big deal for someone who has some DIY knowledge in that...

Help! Help request: There is no power to motor

The green LED on the charger has at least some other indications:- 1) Battery is full, charging has been stopped (though sadly some chargers still supply a small current, which over time, can damage a battery. Never leave on charge once the LED is green. Some expensive chargers apparently are...

Help! Disposal or sale for spares/repairs?

This post will possibly annoy some users/owners of mid motor users and sellers, but I do feel its justified criticism of many of the leading mid motor bikes, and their engineering qualities. To make it simple, I liken the mid motor bikes to being similar to laptops, which are for a similar...

Help! Disposal or sale for spares/repairs?

I agree completely, but of course, that should solve the OP's problems completely as well I feel. regards Andy

    Bosch Rack Battery lock

It appears to be working as it should, preventing you removing the key while unlocked. Its a not uncommon safety method. Andy

    Bosch Rack Battery lock

I just remembered, for long after the end of WW2, anything that was considered rubbish was called "A LOAD OF OLD BOSH!" (we did not know the correct spelling then!!) It fits perfectly even today it seems! Andy

Dalston fatal e-bike crash rider 'going too fast' - Court Case

Judging by the video only, he apparently made little or no noticeable attempt to slow down, or change direction! Maybe he was looking somewhere else..... Andy

Dalston fatal e-bike crash rider 'going too fast' - Court Case

Many thanks for the video link. Totally disgusting how he just left her lying there, and despite obvious requests from passersby to at least wait... He obviously knew that he was at fault....or he would have not attempted to get away.... He deserves to receive the full weight of the law, just as...

Can you or anyone here post a link for the video footage, my search argument is not finding it online. Thanks in advance. Andy

Dalston fatal e-bike crash rider 'going too fast' - Court Case

I personally find your reaction to this case, when it has still not been fully played out, to be rather strange..... I assume, maybe completely wrongly, that you feel/give the impression, that its OK to hit somebody while riding on an illegal tuned e-bike, ridden at possibly twice the legal...

Help! Disposal or sale for spares/repairs?

When I hear such things from a sales person, that makes me think twice. I also have been caught out by such sales talk on other things than bikes, and learned my lesson.... But as I said in another post here, as an engineer, you have mainly learned the hard way.....Nowadays I generally know...

Help! Disposal or sale for spares/repairs?

Good point. COO (Cost of ownership) is IMHO less with hub bikes, plus the initial cost is less. As a second bike, I bought a very cheap Chinese rear hub bike some years ago and although the guarantee is not that good, the bike was under 1000 UK Pounds, and included 2 batteries, delivery...

Help! Disposal or sale for spares/repairs?

Entirely your choice either way of course, I was just thinking that pointing out a possible hobby fix, might fire you up....or not!;) For me, learning welding again after so many years of learning "Stick", (MIG was not a home option 50 years ago!), is real fun for myself and many....... Learning...

Help! Disposal or sale for spares/repairs?

Great comment and many thanks for pointing that out, but still possible I feel. Personally, I would not let it put me off, as what have I got to lose? Cutting the piece out of a scrap bike (or two!), and for lining things up with lengths of square steel tubing, spot welding it in for testing...
