    "Get me Home" Battery

I have literally spent more on saddles and seat posts than on my bike over the years. Must be getting on for close to £1000 now. @egroover - Your enthusiastic support for this tempts me to try yet another....

    "Get me Home" Battery

Not even that I'm afraid. I have downsized so many times now. When we emigrated, everything just fitted inside a 40ft container. 1/2 of that was stolen by aussie dockers, so that was downsize no 1. Then we moved from a large property in Perth with lots of outbuildings to a villa in town...

    "Get me Home" Battery

Ahh, but the Citroen is my son's. I live in a grandad/granny flat in his house. The Leaf is mine and that ain't going anywhere. There is so much crap in this garage I really couldn't fit anything else. Useless tins of paint over 10 years old, mowers, 3 other bikes, dehumidifiers, portable...

    "Get me Home" Battery

No room in my garage for a trike, and I'm not sure about safety on a trike, your visibility is very poor, and other road users cannot see you so well either.

    "Get me Home" Battery

Lenny -thanks for your concern. I had a quick look at that video, I'll download it and study in depth. I'm willing to have a go at anything, although I would draw the line at sticking crystals up my rear end!

Still going strong, no issues at all. Quiet as a mouse when powering along.

    "Get me Home" Battery

I have to sit bolt upright to get any sort of comfort while riding. I've tried all sorts of saddles, none are really comfortable. In 2015 a mad Muslim woman with 2 children onboard texting her friends rear-ended me while I was stationary at traffic lights. Damaged my coccyx and I struggle...

How to convert a bicycle to an E-bike?

As you are not conversant with bike repairs, I would recommend a rear hub. One thing that others on here seem unconcerned about is the safety features of having a throttle. I wouldn't dream of riding about in London, but with derrailler gears and no throttle - a recipe for disaster. A throttle...

I have never managed to run my battery flat-my sore posterior after 20 miles or so makes me stop!

Why oh why did you post this Gurney? Now I'll be mooching about depressed all day waiting until the sun's past the yardarm and I can drown my sorrows in a stiff one and one more and one more.....might as well kill a few more grey cells off.

    Some advice needed please...

@AJ_P I have been following this thread with interest. I purchased my TSDZ2 about 4 years ago and have been very happy with it. I hadn't been on a bike since my early teenage tears as I spent 33 years in Australia and they had compulsory helmet wearing for all over there. No fun in 38deg...

    Rear lights - recommendations?

Nice Nice for people that want to wear helmets. I don't. I didn't ride a bike in Australia for 33 years because they were compulsory there. It's good to go down the sea front and cycle along in thongs and shorts with the wind blowing in your hair (what's left of it) in the Summer.

    Rear lights - recommendations?

For goodness's sake you guys, you are going way ott. All I want is a simple flashing rear light that can be easily seen and doesn't fall off. Decided on these: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/185299701217 Cheers Tony.

Agreed, I always ride with my lights on, hence the op.

    Rear lights - recommendations?

Personally I never ride at night. The roads around the Bournemouth/Poole/Christchurch conurbation are no place for a cyclist, particularly a 72 year old in the daytime, let alone at night. Bournemouth is second in the whole country after London as the most accidents per square mile, and...

    Rear lights - recommendations?

Thanks to all of you with your suggestions. To @guerney WTF??? I'll bet you spent more on your lights than on the bike. The Moons look good and not a fortune. Thanks again, Tony.

    TSDZ2 Noise levels

My TSDZ2 is to all intents and purposes totally silent. My tyres on the road make more noise than the motor. Other e-bikes commercial or DIY seem to make a heck of a racket, I can hear them coming from afar. Is this the experience of others? Or am I blessed with a good 'un? Interested to...
