You should be able to find a replacement battery for around £200. A photo of your bike/battery will help.

The pivot looks OK to me, slightly concerned about the width of the webing on the linkage if it's the same as this frame.

If you get the DNP one in vfr's post #5 it will fit ALL freewheels. You need the extra length to remove the DNP freewheel. Park Tool FR-1.3 also fits.

I'm not sure what your concern is? Neither one is wrong if they are both working as they should.

Not all batteries have on/off switches, the button on yours sounds like it just shows remaining battery level. Most chargers show green light when plugged into mains, red light when battery is connected and charging and green light again when battery charging is complete.

You are not going to get a very positive experience of owning and riding an ebike if you buy the cheapest kit you can find. Those kits you linked to will end up costing you around £350-400 when you have paid postage, duty and VAT. As vfr has said, you need a kit to match your level of fitness...

Glad to see you have found the problem. I'm sure David/Adrian will sort it out to your satisfaction.

You may find fitting a cut off switch if your controller has the connection for one on the rear brake will help with control when you need it, esp. at low speed.

I think a friend of the OP has been in there trying some sort of repair.
