    Battery

Mileage will improve if you use less throttle, lower PAS level and pedal yourself, if of course, you are able to. Getting through 3 batteries suggests they are made with cheap cells witch are not up to suppling consistant high current.

    What a machine!!

Been feeling the need to "go to next level" and the forum was a bit quite, so I thought I'd get busy in the shed. The riding postion is a little awkward, needs some fine tuning and it's a bit bufferty in a head wind. A full touring fairing may help with this. Your right Mathew, it is a bit...

Help! BBS01 into a Voodoo Bragg?

Yes, that BB is fine, does the bike run a single small chainring? This photo shows a 2020 bike and the chanstays look wider than the BB, which will not allow fitment of the motor. This is a problem with alot of modern bike frames with wide tyres and small single chainwheels. BTW, it has 27.5"...

    Help on controller

Sounds like you are stil running the wrong phase/hall sensor combo, there are often several that work. I can't think of anything else that would make the motor behave like that.

    Yose Power battery prices

Just noticed they have reduced the price of some battery packs in their UK Ebay shop. Appears they only have Chinese/unbranded cells these days, but still offer an 18 month warranty on most of them. https://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_ssn=ysbatteryuk&store_name=ysbatteryuk&_oac=1&_dmd=1

Battery Wiring before I blow myself up!

TBH, having read this is the case a few times here from members I trust, I have accepted it as the case, without fully understanding why. Someone with a bit more technical knowledge may come along and be able to explain it to you. Some battery pack switches cut the main positive discharge wire...

Battery Wiring before I blow myself up!

Some residual voltage with the battery switched off is quite normal, don't worry. The switch is part of the BMS. If you have swapped wires carefully to the same connections on the new case, then you will be all good. There is no way of checking this without removing the blue shrink wrap and...

Could some kindly take some measurements of a tongsheng and bafang mid drive?

Looks to be a very nice fit, chainline may still be a bit off in lower gears, but with the HD you are unlikely to need the first 2 unless you are climbing vertically. The Bling Rings are well made, but expensive, if you look on Aliexpress there are cheaper copies witch I think have the same...

Help! Hi i need advise on my scott aspect 960 2021 for bbshd

I've no idea when they work, the std HD fits 68-73mm BB. On 73mm, I don't think there is enough thread for the second lock ring, so most apply Loctite thread lock on the first ring, this appears to work OK.

Help! Hi i need advise on my scott aspect 960 2021 for bbshd

Various suggestions on your other thread, I can't really recommend any others. Eclipse would be my choice, being a UK company and a fairly keen price.

Help! Hi i need advise on my scott aspect 960 2021 for bbshd

The chainstays look fine, but the oversized downtube will make the motor hang very low. You may also have to reroute those cables/brake line, although the front deraileur one can be removed.

Help! Hi i need advise on my scott aspect 960 2021 for bbshd

The standard HD will fit, but you need to ensure the motor casing will not foul on the chainstay. Post a clear photo of the BB with the bike inverted.

    Help! Controller wire diagram LSW1174-14?

AFAIK there is no diagram for your Lishui controller, but I can identify some of the connectors. The black/grey connectors are your brake cut offs. The spare red/yellow/black is likely for a throttle, but it may not be enabled in the software, so may not function if you were to fit one. Thick...

BMS with discharge bypass - or not?

I've been using a pack like this for 2 years now with no ill effect, it still charges and stays in balance. As long as you don't try to pull more amps than the cells can supply, I can't see a problem. You have the LVC of the controller to stop the voltage dropping too low. Edit Just to be...

Blue "Electric Lock Wire" on Conhismotor Controller

Had a look at my controller, but sadly no markings at all on the board either side where wires are soldered on.

    Throttles

Full speed throttles allowed on legal pre 2016 ebikes. I think there is also an argument to be had for fitting a kit to a pre 2016 bike, is it the age of the bike or the kit? I don't think many motors are obviously date stamped, some frames are though. As Nealh says, as long as it's 250w and...

Bike cutting out when battery on 3 bars

Why don't you take up the offer of the matching cells from the battery seller, then speak to Jimmy, who may be willing to replace them for you. I think he has done this for a forum member recently.

Blue "Electric Lock Wire" on Conhismotor Controller

I will have a look at the spare controllers I have, one I know has a lock connection on it. Next time cut the wires close to the board leaving a bit of insulation attached ;)
