4th Wisper on order, what to do with the old ones…

I've got to say a huge forum thanks to Chris for his extremely kind generosity in donating 2 great bikes to my "ebike recycling scheme". Along with some other scavenged parts I should be able to supply a couple of deserving friends with a working bike and decent battery for around £250-£300 who...

4th Wisper on order, what to do with the old ones…

Hi Chris I'd be interested in your bikes, I'm always looking for a project, or 2 and have a couple of friends on limited funds who can't find anything affordable, prices seem crazy ATM for bikes far worse than yours. I saved a Wisper 905 from the grave a couple of years ago and it's still going...

That's the bluetooth chip that the magnet is attracted to.

    Torque sensor replacement

I would start by contacting the company in the US the bike came from to establish if spares are available. Being a Chinese product you have a chance, unlike Bosch and others where you would be looking at a new complete motor.

    Torque sensor replacement

You will need to contact a Fuell dealer, which do not exist in the UK AFAICS. You will struggle to find a shop here willing to touch it as it looks like repair will involve splitting the motor. Where was it purchased? https://fuell.eu/pages/service-page

What controls the LVC the BMS or controller ?

Which ever one has the highest cut off voltage. The LVC on the BBS controller is adjustable. I can't see any specs for the ANT BMS, but being a smart one, it's possibly the same.

So... How much should I Dremel this bottom bracket?

How about all the frames with a BB the BBS fits through? Never seen or heard of a BB failure due to wall thickness. The amount you need to remove is mimimal, prob. less than .5mm, get filing, your worries are unfounded. :) Ocsid's idea of a cylinder hone is good, or a flapper wheel, it will...

Best companies to order kit from in the UK?

You could try Woosh for kits, who are trade members on this forum and have a very good reputation. I know they were fairly low on stock, but this may have improved. I'm not certain about shipping to EU, but deff. worth enquiring. https://wooshbikes.co.uk/?hubkits

    TopBikeKit

I meant buyers scamming sellers by claiming they have not received all goods sent. Good point that it may have been sent via their German warehouse, hence the strange tracking.

    TopBikeKit

And +8 hours on us. I would not expect a reply until 2-3am on Monday. Keep the packaging, it may help to show them the size of the box your stuff came in to help prove there was no room for a controller. Don't forget people try to scam sellers all the time, esp. on the other side of the world...

52/48v Battery Packs with LG MJ1 Cells

Spotted these while searching for something else. Good price and spec if you are after a pack for your BBSHD or other high power motor. Not sure about the 80 amp burst bit, I don't think MJ1's will like a 16 amp draw for very long, but a good cell at 6 amps if genuine...

Q100cst from BMS. I requested the 201rpm motor but they have sent the 328rmp motor

Yes, I've also sussed who it is, but to name him if he's read the thread and choosen not to post seems unfair. One possible reason is the commercial nature of this site and that traders need to pay. He may have PM'd Scorpio, or maybe he dosen't feel he can be of help.

Q100cst from BMS. I requested the 201rpm motor but they have sent the 328rmp motor

The site dosn't come up on "UK ebike kit" search and Bike Shed is a motorcycle restaurant and also a m/c shop in Crediton, Devon which don't help.

Q100cst from BMS. I requested the 201rpm motor but they have sent the 328rmp motor

I can't remember his user name, I've just noticed the web site in his/her signature at the bottom of posts. I thought maybe he had a good trading relationship with BMS and he maybe able to help the OP. Just an idea.

Q100cst from BMS. I requested the 201rpm motor but they have sent the 328rmp motor

This guy might be able to help find you a solution as he appears to sell BMSBattery products, is based in UK and I believe he's a forum member. https://www.thebikeshed.online/product-page/rear-hub-motor-kit-cassette

    BBSxx Question

Apology accepted ;)Forget Bafang, you will find far more information about the BBS drive units here, other forums like Endless Sphere and the 1000's of resellers out there. Bafang are a massive company and their website is really only a place for them to promote new developments they are working...

Can anyone recommend a 46/48 tooth chainring that has the same depth as a stock 48t Bafang?

The narrow/wide tooth design on the Bling Rings help with chain derailment, but will push the chainline inboard and the chainring adapters will push it out, so I would stick with the bafang if it works on your bike. I don't know of any other alternatives on the market.
