    Battery Repair & Recelling

Yes. Everyone. I posted pics of the actual cells in my battery. All uprated and matching. I can only show evidence and speak as I find. You don't have to have your batteries re-celled there if you don't want to? I've recommended this because of the service and cost effectiveness. YOUR CHOICE...

    Battery Repair & Recelling

I am very surprised with your comments. But each to their own. I didn't buy the bike from Argos, but yes, it was pre-owned and cost much more than you assume. Anyway, just to clarify, the battery was completely re-celled with brand new uprated and matching cells which now delivers in excess of...

Help! A Bit Of Advise Please

Yes there is plenty of tread as the tyres have had very little use. You're quite correct about my previous posts. I just hadn't used the bike over the winter period and whilst having the battery re-celled. I may consider wider handlebars as well, but its the rear that seems unstable at the...

Help! A Bit Of Advise Please

T Thank you for that information. The mudguards are certainly a contributing factor but can be removed if the worst comes to the worst. Thanks for the info

Help! A Bit Of Advise Please

The wheel is firmly attached and tightened accordingly. I've even checked the spokes to see if any are loose. Here are some photo's of the current tyres. Hope this answers your question

Help! A Bit Of Advise Please

I have a E-Plus Mantra electric bike which suits my age and needs now. Just a minor issue I'm having when riding which I think I may have mentioned in an earlier post? When going around corners and roundabouts etc., the rear end feels a little unstable. My initial thoughts were the tyre...

    Battery Repair & Recelling

Just an update peeps. I've been using the bike since having the battery re-celled and have to say its working brilliantly. Thought I'd give it some time before reporting back. I don't travel too far now, only around 4 to 5 miles per trip, but the handlebar LED display unit remains lit throughout...

    Battery Repair & Recelling

I've just fitted battery and all seems to be fine. I will need to take it out for quite a long run to ensure that particular issue is sorted though. I do still have the ongoing problem of the handlebar LED lights dimming during use. I thought the battery being faulty may have been the cause but...

    Battery Repair & Recelling

Just an update on the progress of the battery. I have attached a couple of pictures of the re-celled pack for your information. The original battery pack contained 4 x P connection strips, with 3 cells only being connected in each P configuration. Effectively one cell per each configuration had...

    Battery Repair & Recelling

I'm not interested in "fundamental principles about safety which we all have a citizen's duty to uphold". I'm just interested in getting the battery repaired so that the bike can be used. At a competitive cost! If the repair works, then great! If not, it isn't the end of the world! Yose Power...

    Battery Repair & Recelling

That's fair comment, but there is no way I am going to pay more for a replacement battery when it costs more than I paid for the bike. That is simply false economy. I posted this for those who may want to go for a repair rather than the extortionate cost of a replacement battery.

    Battery Repair & Recelling

Okay. Fair comment I suppose. I just thought I would post this as I couldn't find anyone else to do this for me. Even when asking the question on this site. Will post my post my findings when I know more

    Battery Repair & Recelling

If anyone is having problems with their batteries I can recommend this guy who is based in Wolverhampton. He is currently (excuse the pun) recelling my battery at, what I think is, a very competitive price. Obviously batteries differ so prices are charged accordingly...

Anyone Know What This Is Called?

That seems like a plan? I will have to go and buy some bulbs as I'm 'old fashioned' and only use proper bayonet bulbs in the house. LOL. I was thinking of using some car headlight bulbs for the load test earlier? You're correct about buying second hand and really have to take the sellers trust...

Anyone Know What This Is Called?

Yes. I was thinking exactly the same. I will say I spent a little time yesterday checking the sensor and crank sensor ring. It had moved significantly. I added a thin nylon washer (spacer) to move them closer to each other and to help maintain position. There is 1mm gap between them now as...
