Wisper Rear Brake Improvement - Suggestions Please

I've just taken a look and it's gear cable. Not wide enough for brake cables I believe?

Wisper Rear Brake Improvement - Suggestions Please

I just use a telephone for what it is intended. To make and receive calls and texts. Cameras are designed for taking pictures. Radios are designed for listening to music etc. I'm an 'old fashioned' guy and wouldn't want to spend a small fortune on a Smartphone that as all those extras that I...

Wisper Rear Brake Improvement - Suggestions Please

I have checked almost all of those items listed. Have also replaced inner cable. What I am beginning to suspect is the small extension to the outer cable at the end where the brakes are located. I suspect this is added to extend the length of the standard outer cable? Not entirely sure but have...

Wisper Rear Brake Improvement - Suggestions Please

I only use an old Nokia 3210 phone. It doesn't have camera facility. Only telephone calls and texts. I can get my Son to take photo's of the bike and brake system when he comes to visit. I don't have an IPad but just use an old laptop to send and receive email's and messages. David from Wisper...

Wisper Rear Brake Improvement - Suggestions Please

Good afternoon. I don't have a camera or IPhone to be able to take a picture. However, I have attached a stock photo of the type of brakes fitted. Maybe this will help? Just to say I have today replaced the inner rear cable with a stainless steel spare I had in the garage and reset brake pads...

Wisper Rear Brake Improvement - Suggestions Please

Yes it is the second hand bike I purchased a little while ago. Its been fine with the exception of 'squealing' brakes which I sorted. But now the rear brake is not as efficient as it was. I've just been looking at a stainless steel cable set for both front and rear. Would the Shimano Dura-Ace...

Wisper Rear Brake Improvement - Suggestions Please

Hi all. Just a quick question for those who may be in the know. I have a Wisper 705Se Works but the rear brakes have always seemed quite poor. I know rear brakes tend to be less efficient than the front brakes, but this doesn't seem to be very efficient at all. I have replaced brake pads a...

    Brake Pad Tool Advice please

Hi fellow Pedelecer's. The Bike Hand brake block setting tool arrived today and I have used them successfully to realign and set the new brake pads. They work a treat. Wisper Brake Squeal Driving Me Crazy

Thank you for all the replies guys. Sorry I didn't respond earlier to individual replies. As mentioned many, many times in the past I never get notifications of replies to my posts. Its sooooooo annoying and difficult to keep track of everything. Just an update. I removed the cantilevers today...

Wisper Brake Squeal Driving Me Crazy

Evening peeps. Finally got myself a Wisper Works 705SE Step-Through and, considering it is over 10 years old, there is hardly a mark on it. However, the brake blocks were a little worn so decided, as a matter of course, to change them for Clarkes, but they 'squeal' badly upon use. Maybe these...

Wisper WISPER WORKS 705SE BATTERY - BIT OF HELP PLEASE!

I did. But it was a matter of holding some wires on the connections on the bike whilst my Son held the other ends on the charger connections. The only way I could check it it was working without a lot of messing about unsoldering and then re-soldering connections.
