    Wisper Centre Stand Advice Please!

Evening fellow E-Bikers. Just a quick question. I own a Wisper Works 705SE electric bike but the side stand on this tends to be somewhat flimsy so wanted to replace this with something more substantial. Ideally I would like to fit a twin leg centre stand, and although haven't actually fitted one...

Yes. But not all of us want other features. Just calls and texts. Thats it. If a smartphone is what you want? Then great. But it simply isn't for all of us.

Nice one Benjahmin. I too, only use cash. If they won't accept it, I don't buy it. In my locality a couple of weeks ago, cash machines all over the area went down. Even the one's in the shops. And, as all banks have now closed down too, they couldn't get money. Shoppers had no idea what the...

Thats fair comment I suppose? Mt Thank you for the sentiment. Maybe I'll give in to peer pressure at some point? But, for the moment I'm happy as I am. I'm glad you found one useful and beneficial. I just don't have any need, at the moment, for one. Okay. Perhaps one would've been useful to...

Why does everyone seem to want a so called smartphone? I, personally, have no use for them whatsoever. I don't want a phone with a camera, messenger, facebook, emails and so on. They are simply just not for me. As long as I can make the odd telephone call or text message, then that's it! Fair...

Fair comment. And thanks. Took the bike out last night for our darts match. Wow. What a difference. The rear brakes are so sharp now. Almost as good as the front. I will have to dig out my old Konica KD20M and invest in some rechargeable batteries for future use. Not sure if it as a cable to...

That's fair enough. I just don't have any need to buy a phone and waste money on extra charges. My old Nokia does me fine and costs me just £5 per month.

Thanks. I'm sure not going to invest in an expensive smartphone just so I can take a few pictures from time to time. I suppose I'll just have to get my Son to take some pictures should I need help in the future? Thanks to all.

Just an update peeps. Have now replaced the rear inner and outer brake cable and also replaced the flexible noodle with a rigid right angled one. On closer inspection of the flexible noodle it looks like the inner nylon cable cover (not sure what else to call this) is a little longer than it...

Ok. I understand. Have been suspicious of this from the start. I just thought that is how Wisper designed these? I have some spare noodles and, when the new outer brake cable arrives, I'll swap them over and see if that improves the issue. Thanks

The noodles on this bike are flexible and not the ninety degree fixed type

Just an update everyone. Today I purchased another set of v-brakes. These are a little longer overall than the originals. They just about fit underneath the rear rack mount but create a little more room above the mudguard. They're also a little wider in design where the cables attach, thus...

It took me ages to get my Son to take photos. When he calls again I can get him to take a video. I assume his phone will do that? The pads are not touching the tyre. I use a brake alignment tool as shown in picture. This sits between the pad and rim to set the 'toe in'. There is also an edge...

I have just double-checked this and when the lever is pulled and the pads are fully in contact with the rim I can easily get my index finger between each brake arm and mudguard. Also, I can get a coin between the cable and the top of the mudguard. This obviously shouldn't be the cause of the...

Nope. There is plenty of clearance when the lever is pulled and the pads are in contact with the rim. Those are the old pads I've reinstalled yesterday. They're hardly worn but replaced them with some other pads, one of which was Clarkes. They're all very much the same in operation.

I cured the 'squeal' some time ago. I purchased a brake pad setting tool which set the 'toe in' correctly, which in turn stopped the squeal completely. The front and rear brakes worked perfectly, and efficiently for several months until recently.

I'll have to dig it out then and get some batteries and go from there. Not entirely sure what anyone wants to see? The brake cantilevers? The cables? The handbrake levers?

What doesn't? As I mentioned I don't have access to a camera to take a video. If that's what you mean? I have an old Konica battery operated digital camera somewhere in the wardrobe. If I can find it I'll take some pictures
