    costco jetson electric mtb

I'm another that has never experienced any issue with removing the battery, and do so to change battery during a ride, and at the end for storage. A big bonus for me is the ease at which a non integrated or semi integrated battery can be removed. The only issue that I have ever had, is dead...

    costco jetson electric mtb

Isn't making the batteries integrated, the same as hiding them? Personably, I hate integrated batteries on eMTB's, especially given the hassle of removing and changing batteries mid ride, with many requiring the undoing of bolts. For aesthetic reasons, I like to see road bikes with...

To add to that. Electrics aren't my thing, but I'm guessing that it wouldn't take much to add a plug to the frame, that would enable a Bottle battery to be added, for additional range. A discreet package for short runs/commutes, and extended range when required. A win win.

    Gear indicator window removable?

I recently rode an Orange eMTB that had di2, and really couldn't see the point of it on a 1x set up, or even on an ebike at all. I can see how it could be a valuable asset on a 2x or 3x set up on a pedal bike, but beyond that, nah..

    Gear indicator window removable?

You will also find that over time if using for off road, that the indicator will just fill with mud/crud, and won't be visible anyway.

    The new best headlight

That's thing with this light, additional torches are kept in either a pocket or back pack and if kept in the back pack, never easy to find. At least this one is on your wrist, has two light settings, a digital run time display and is amazingly bright. The beam angle is a little off and I did...

    The new best headlight

It has been a significant time since I have used mine, but by memory, I thought the green light on the rear turns red when the battery is getting low? I also found, that just as with my other Ebay lights that I have used over the years, that it worth getting a six cell battery pack. It might...

    Beer

That is just the selection that I am bringing, not the quantity. :) I might have to sample a Long Blonde this evening though, just to be on the safe side.

    Beer

Can't let the thread drop from the first page. Start of the selection for this weekends beer, port, and cheese fest. Sunday seems a long way away. A bit random with the Wolf Rock, but you have to have a guest ale. .

    Thought I'd Broken My Frame

You made the right choice. :) Out of interest, the first time that you used it, were you thrown like I was into momentarily thinking that the wheel was out of shape. :D

    Thought I'd Broken My Frame

Well done awol, a very wise investment that takes no time at all to use. :) I happened to use mine on both bikes yesterday as well. The KTM eMTB has been making a few iffy gear changes since my fall last week, but I was surprised by just how far out that it actually was when I checked. The...

    Brake pads

I think that I'll still stay away from those as well. I'm not convinced that the extra pad material on those shown in the link is even such a good idea. I wonder what the fluid reduction rate is when the pad materials extends past what would have otherwise been the manufacturers recommended...

    Brake pads

I've never seen the point in the Uber brake pads. With two backing plates, you are loosing half of the pad material.

    Brake pads

I use resin/organic pads all year round, as they work very well for my use, and just tend to buy whatever is on special offer at the time. Often switching between cheapo Shimano pads, never the vented version, Clarks, or EBC. I replace quite frequently due to using them in wet muddy conditions...

Buying decision help please! Ghost Hybride Kato FS 6 or Specialized FSR Comp 6Fattie?

No not bad experience, and to be fair to SRAM and Guide brakes, my riding experience with them has been limited to a few Orange Bikes demo bikes, and the brakes could well of not been at their best.

Buying decision help please! Ghost Hybride Kato FS 6 or Specialized FSR Comp 6Fattie?

Dealer location aside, the Ghost would be my choice, but really you would be wise to try both before deciding. My reasons for not wanting the Levo are as follows. I don't like integrated batteries. I don't like things such as mission control phone apps. I don't like SRAM Guide brakes. I prefer...

Seized caliper piston. Is it worth trying to free it

Not laughing at you SW, just the thought of Gubbins riding to the local shop, whilst using Hope brakes. :D Gubbins, that wasn't meant in a derogatory way. :)

Seized caliper piston. Is it worth trying to free it

It a shame that you didn't live locally to me, as I would offer to help you. Try the advice that Denis99 has kindly offered, but if you get really stuck, I have a new take off XT caliper that I would happily give to you, but I have robbed the pads from it. I needed a lever assembly in a hurry...
