    Bosch Motor Types

And even then, I'm not so sure. Having had both the Performance Line and CX, I consider that the Performance Line has more than enough torque for any situation. I don't get this obsession with higher and higher torque motors. Unless of course the rider wants to put less and less effort in for...

Do you let friends have a go?

I can't say that I really care less, and just let anyone that is interested have a go. Sometimes I cringe as I ride along with them, whilst they crash their way through the gears, or grimace when they fall. I'm not overly precious about any of my bikes, and just see them a tool to do a job. I...

And another CX motor bearings bite the dust!

I find that cow and sheep poo from riding on the South Downs is the best way to preserve all mechanical components of a bike. The more that you collect, the harder that it is to remove, and the better protection that it affords. :p

    The wind, it doth blow

And there was me thinking that spending another day cutting and pitching a roof was going to be difficult. I should take up cycling.:D

Oh Dear my Flap has come off!

Using a bit of silicon spray/rubber grease, and a micro screwdriver. Spray the area or the lug , then gently use the screwdriver to ease it back in place. Work around in a circle and they should go back into place. SW might have some KY jelly that you could use.:D

Pedelecs that you like, but perhaps shouldn't.

The KTM Myroon is another very sexy looking bike, as are some of the Niner range. My favourite though for style, is the Look 989 RS. Pure wall art. I'd not want an electric motor on any of them though. .

Best way to climb a hill for battery/motor health

SW, that would all but screw up the hill climbing ability. At least the Giant has a broad range of gears to cover every eventuality. I'd love to try a drop bar ebike, but doubt that I could ever own one, as I suspect that I would find flat bars to be more comfortable and practical. .

Best way to climb a hill for battery/motor health

I'm not really convinced that the CX is they way to go for a road bike. I'd rather have a conventional chainring size, such as on the Giant. I see the CX as being too restrictive in respect of gearing, and possibly front sprocket wear and tear.

KTM Macina Flite. http://www.flidistribution.co.uk/ebikes/bosch-drive---hybrid-city-bikes/2018-ktm-macina-flite-11 And for direct comparison in respect of looks. The giant road e+1 Does the Giant not have any bottle cage mounts? There is also a 'Street' version of the KTM. .

Perhaps they are. Without knowing how many drive units are manufactured, claiming other wise is meaningless. For all we know, the failure rate might not even measure a quarter of one percent of overall drive units manufactured. It certainly doesn't make the frustration felt by owners any less...

Legalities of use aside, there are three for me, the first being the Cheetah E-Hardtail. For some reason I liked the look of this bike the moment that saw it a couple of years ago. It wouldn't be on my list of bikes to own, but the simplistic looks of it really appeal. Now this really is...
