That is very true.☺ It was more a case of the reason for going. My first and last time of using Car phone Warehouse.

eMTB owners photo and ride thread.

Frustratingly I had to make yet another around trip to T/Wells yesterday morning, and figured that I might just as well take a chilled ride along bridleways and bridleways and lanes to get there. I really don't get the attraction of riding on the road, but sometimes it is a necessary evil. The...

    Very disappointing start....

I am very good at listing my ebike rides correctly, but only use Strava when riding the eMTB, as a way of sharing my rides with friends an nothing more. I did forget a day or so ago, and within minutes a local rider contacted me to ask if I used an ebike. I was quick to apologise, and changed...

Well said Chris, and also politer than I would have put it. .

You could always just wrap a bit of electrical tape around the chainstay.

The cost of e-biking going up....

Another pleasant afternoon spent clearing bracken, making and working on trails. ;) The man about town look for my CamelBak today. :D As for BPW, I guess their land, their choice. No one is being forced to ride there.

still not to sure what to make of bosch ebike system

@chris_n I very much doubt that I'll make it this time either. I'm actually100% certain that I won't for two reasons. The first reason being that I have now put a shorter stem on the bike 70mm from 110mm, and the second reason is that I want to get through the trip in one piece! :) Last nights...

You have nothing to worry about in respect of the motor being overlaoaded or getting hot. The battery on the other hand, could be a slightly different story. The ride below shown in yellow was 10.4 miles of climbing with an elevation gain of 6,428ft. The climb required a battery change at 9.5...

Go on then, what has the OP's bike been designed for? I'd have no issue trying either a Rio or Big Bear around here, against an Active Line bike, and posting up the results. .

As a rule I don't do bling, but could not resist a pair of limited edition Shimano pedals. Limited by the fact that they are the only ones! Whilst cleaning the bike yesterday, I decided that while the pedals were stripped down for cleaning, I'd tidy them up a bit. :D

@Woosh, are you seriously saying that he should be able to ride up every hill at 11mph. You also still neglected to take into account that not all of the power settings are being used. The ride below was yesterday, and was one that the Woosh Karoo failed to even do. I had to turn around at the...

That is rubbish. He still had two more gears to drop, so the issue is in fact not using the gears available to him, and by the sound of it, not using the available power settings.

    Map my ride

I can fully sympathise about the wind up there. Taking below as an example, traveling down 'Long Down' with no wind, you can hit 30 plus mph, but when the conditions are windy, I have struggled to hit 9mph in sport mode.

Water Bottle on Full Sus E-Bikes

Well there is my answer. :) Be careful that you don't mark the battery though, with it rubbing. It might pay just to put something like an old cut up inner tube against the battery to protect it, and to stop things moving about. :)

The section where I always have grief, is between Birling Gap and Cuckmere Haven. Like you I ride considerately, but for some reason have copped flak each time that I have ridden that section. The section that you rode from Eastbourne to Birling gap has always been fine, and the section from...

You might want to re phrase that when you do the Brighton leg of the ride. :D You certainly chose a good day to be out. :) Out of interest, did you have any hassle from walkers, when you did the section between Beachy Head and Birling Gap? .

I believe that the OP has an Active Line motor, not CX. So no the issue won't be solved. Dropping the extra two gears, or swapping out the front sprocket and or cassette would solve the issue though. .
