Is the ebike market moving upwards?

In my area, and excluding my bikes, I regularly see. 3 KTM's. 2 Specialized. 3 Kalkhoff. 1 Wisper. 2 Haibikes. 1 Scott. 1 elderly Trek Valencia. 1 Stealth Hurricane.

You forgot to mention the gates that you also have to stop to open on the steep hill. You just get moving then have to stop. Getting going again when it is wet, can be a real struggle. :D I'll have to try the Tiger Inn for food, and hopefully they have Long Man on tap as well to accompany it. :)

I totally disagree with the above, and further comments have now been added since my original posting of the following. https://www.facebook.com/christoph.malin/posts/10213403168531974 .

That word "best" keeps cropping up. No motor could ever be considered "best" and someone is heading for a fall with that one. Shimano are also seemingly either incorrect or in denial by stating that the E8000 does not have any issues, as evidently it does. I trust the unbiased opinion of people...

Spin or use higher power setting

Perhaps try changing the front sprocket before doing anything else. The current 18t front sprocket is the equivalent of a 45t conventional size chainring. A 16t would give you an equivalent of 40t and a 15t would be an equivalent to 37t I also prefer to spin than to grind my way up hills, and...

What size front sprocket are you using on the bike?

The little café at East dean is a nice stop off when riding that route. I have so far managed to resist the Tiger Inn. :)

The most recent is the one below, and there are three other reports on the German pedelec forum. https://www.facebook.com/christoph.malin/posts/10213403168531974 Christoph is one person that I have a lot of respect for. Tom Rae from this forum, also pointed out the following yesterday "Shimano...

Gradients, are we talking about the same thing?

The path is 1.6miles long, with an elevation gain of 1,602ft https://www.strava.com/activities/1083946782 The local mtb guide book, recommends not climbing it, and suggests taking the train up instead. :)

Gradients, are we talking about the same thing?

Interesting question. I did a little test whilst in Switzerland on an old railway line. Well it wasn't really a test as such, I just wanted to see if I could ride up it. I'll try to piece together the stats for it at some stage, but Velowviewer seems to be more of an accurate gauge than Strava...

"best" even with the motor and battery overheating issues that are now beginning to slowly filter through? I know that I would currently rather use a Bosch powered bike than a Shimano powered one for any trips that involve riding in the Alps. "Best" for me, equates to knowing that you can climb...

    Bull eMTB....

Depending upon where you intend to ride, the Shimano E800 motor and battery don't appear to without their issues, and have been found to overheat when used in alpine climbing conditions. I have now read several reports in relation to this, the most recent by Christoph Malin...

Wave good bye and say hello. The time has come to sell the superb KTM Macina and to pass it into the hands of a new owner. As expected, it sold within seconds of me making my intention to sell it known. In the 16 months of my ownership, this bike has been utterly outstanding fun to both ride...

Having the battery removable from inside the downtube as shown, is the way to go, so stick with that theme. I'm not keen on the downtube thickness or shape, preferring the look/idea from the old BH Neo range. I guess that the eye wouldn't be drawn quite so much to the downtube, if the bike had...

What is reasonable price for nipping up bike disc rotor?

Some doughnuts, and some pocket change into the Xmas box. Or if it is a Saturday morning in the cycle shop that my friend owns, then it would be free. He does a Saturday morning drop in clinic for minor repairs.

eMTB owners photo and ride thread.

Spot on with the location. It appears from Google maps to be a WWII Churchill MKII.
