Now that you've eliminated an interrupted ground, the only logical cause of all three halls not working is a short to a motor phase wire. Did you check the motor cable very carefully?

    Ebike yose power failure

Try the simple things first. Have a look at your motor connector and make sure that it's all the way in to the line and not just in rtight. After that, you'll need a meter to check the battery and charger voltages. Check your battery immediately after charging, then again when it cuts out. that...

    Upgrading an existing ebike

I've converted about three bikes like that to 36v with a 36v controller and battery. Two of them were Schwinn Tailwinds, which are really nice bikes except for the underpowered 24v system and low capacity battery. At 36v, these 24v bikes go much better. Your motor is sensorless, which limits...

Anyone tried an MIB urban scrambler? (Super 73 style)

It's a packing support for the drop-outs in the forks so that the sharp ends don't go through the carton.

My argument is not that I know better. Instead, it's that the official certification bodies know better than you. It's their job to read and interpret the regulations, then to apply that to their test procedures and acceptance criteria. It's like when the jury finds you innocent of a crime...

    Hi from Mid Wales.

You don't need to spend 10 grand. If you were buying new, £1000 should be enough. If you want his and hers, the NCM Moscow and Venice are pretty good at £1100. They're very powerful for hill-climbing because they run at 48v instead of the more normal 36v. They're a good brand of well-made bikes...

Bacchetta Giro 20 and in wheel motor

It'll be much better with a rear hub-motor. You need a cassette type. There are a lot of options with different powers speeds and weights. Without knowing anything about you and your rides, it's not possible to say which exact one is best. I can understand what you're saying about the weight up...

How broken was the LCD. was it the bracket, a cracked screen or what? Some kinds of damage would wipe out the controller too.

    Crystalyte hub kit on tandem

All throttles work the same, though you can get a range of additional features, like battery displays, switches for lights and other things, locks and speed display. You don't need a special Crystalite one. If you're not sure about it, show which one you have so that we can make recommendations...

It's limited by software in the control system, not by the throttle.

Apart from what I said in a previous post about a short, the only other logical cause would be that your ground wire is interrupted, so test for continuity between the thick black on your controller and any of the grounds of the hall sensors if you can get a probe to one. The 4th sensor is the...

Do you know how certification works? Have you heard of SGS and Tuv? Manufacturers make a bike. They take it to one of these certification bodies, who check whether it complies with the laws and regulations, then they give it a certificate of compliance. These guys are experts on the rules and...

Help! Screen goes on but nothing happens when pulling trigger throttle

The throttle is a hall sensor. It can't do anything to blow a fuse and is not the cause of your issue. You need to explain the circumstances in which your fuse blew for us to get to the cause. My wild guess would be that you've popped a mosfet in the controller.

The problem is not the compliance of the motor, nor the regulations. Instead, it's your inderstanding. What you're saying is equivalent to: If you have a carving knife in your kitchen drawer, you might be arrested for possession of an offensive weapon.

The freewheel is steel and the motor is aluminium, so of you heat it up a bit, it'll come off easily.

Help! KT LCD3 eBike display "info 03" error

First, make sure that the motor connector is properly together. There is a line that marks how far it has to go, regardless of anything else. You can't always connect colour to colour. from memory, the last guy who had that with a KT controller only had to swap a couple of phase wires -...

    Which conversion kit?

You can think what you like, but you're wrong regarding the motor and its speed control. Have you read EN15194? If you had, you would know that it covers aspects other than safety standards. The question is whether the software is compliant, which it is because it's been tested and certified...
