    Ebco ucl30 battery retro fit

£310 for a re-celled 36v 11Ah battery (given it's CANbus) - if they're pukka Samsung/Panasonic cells being used - is pretty fair IMHO, especially as a bike like this would today probably cost maybe £1500+ new? The bikes would be easily re-sellable for a profit with new Li-Ion batteries as...

    Fiido D11 Folding e-bike - A sort of review

I've since seen that magnetic frame catches only solve part of the problem: Yes, they hold the main part of the frame together, but the handlebar/stem is still left flapping in the wind. A single, simple bungee cord solves the whole problem, not just a part of it.

Help! Not sure which folding bike to buy

There is an adjustable stem extender that fits the existing clamp and does the same job without modifying anything... but it's not that one. It's made for Brompton bikes: It fits the Fiido clamp too.

Help! Not sure which folding bike to buy

Most are telescopic - including Fiido's other bikes - but not the D11/D21. Possibly to help achieve that reduced 17kg overall bike weight? A riser bar is I think a far better option as: 1) It can increase or reduce reach as well as add height 2) A carbon bar doesn't cost much more than...

    Fiido D11 Folding e-bike - A sort of review

This is a standard rack for a 20" wheeled bike. Decathlon sell one that's cheap and fits, but is steel and weighs 1kg. This is Aluminium Ali/Ebay/Amazon, weighs 500gms, and only costs a few pounds more. There are bosses in the frame which are threaded to accept the fixings supplied. The rack...

Help! Not sure which folding bike to buy

I don't think you'll have any issue at 5'7. It's quite an upright riding position. I'm 5'10ish and could ride it fine, but I chose to add a 50mm riser bar which when rotated can add height or reach, or a bit of both depending on how you angle it. It's just preference to suit my own riding style.

Help! Not sure which folding bike to buy

I bought mine directly from the Fiido website. It ships from their warehouse in Bath by (IIRC) a 48hr courier service. There are a handful of authorised UK resellers too, Bicycleland being one.

Folding Ebike for commuting in UK

Your picture from ebay is an early mock-up pre-production shot... that bike doesn't even have any wiring so it won't be going anywhere! They do only offer the one version, and do include all the items I mentioned as standard. listed on Fiido's own web-page. Costs certainly have shot up: The D11...

Folding Ebike for commuting in UK

Mr Woosh is working very hard for a sale this morning! Just for the record, the Fiido D11 also has prop-stand, German beam front light and in-built rear light (both powered from the bike battery), electric horn rather than a bell, & mudguards as standard too. The 8-speed(?) Rambletta does have...

Folding Ebike for commuting in UK

I weighed mine at just over 17kg. That, the fact it could be pushed along in folded form, and that it has a larger than most 11.6Ah/417Wh battery were the key differences for me. A £3500 electric Brompton is 16.5Kg, most others I looked at weighed 20-26Kg. That's just too much of a handful IMHO...

Folding Ebike for commuting in UK

I have a Fiido D11 for my commute (not every day). I thought about the D4s instead, but cost wasn't an issue for me and the D11 is a little lighter for manhandling. My commute is a mile and a bit to the station, train into London, mile and a bit to a different London station (could take a tube...

Help! Not sure which folding bike to buy

I wouldn't want to sway your decision one way or the other, but the Fiido bikes you mention are better than the Decathlon at a technical level in nearly all respects. I'm sure Decathlon sell a lot of their btwin 500e model, but both the D11/D4s bikes have larger capacity batteries for longer...

Here is the current Amazon listing for your Swifty Liberte e-bike. Here is the Swifty Liberte Owners Manual downloadable from that same Amazon page which clearly states Swifty Service number being in Southend on 01702 208187. It's exactly the same manual with the same service number as you can...

    Estarli e20

@discopeanuts That's useful comment. There's been a couple of discussions here about the Estarli 20 before, but IIRC no actual owners bothered to comment, so your input is useful - thanks! @AndyB78 I've had a Fiido D11 for about a year, which I commented on elsewhere here on the forum both when...

    Best £1500-2000, derestrictable e-bike?

My guess is that those who choose to thrash the nuts off their de-restricted bikes are likely to be making more warranty claims too - which is hardly the bike makers fault. There's a lot of bleating, whinging and generally crying wolf about "unfair treatment" and "not honouring warranty claims"...

ebikes.co.uk sell your Amazon Swifty bike. They also sell Argos and some lower-end Halfords, e-bikes direct, and TV channel models too. They seem to mostly re-sell overstock and refurbished (repaired) customer returned e-bikes on that website. They state they offer service and support on what...

    Halford's ebikes

What vouchers? What scheme? What other stores participate? If they include Rutland or Evans or E-bikes Direct (for example) your choice widens considerably... to include the main popular brands like Cube which isn't really Halfords forte, specialising as they do mostly in their own imports/brands.

New battery needed for my Carrera Crossfire Ebike (2019 model)

The Phylion SF-06 battery was available with either a standard BMS or a smart BMS. Yose and other 3P suppliers of these batteries have sold both types over the years; the ones with smart BMS have a small round sticker on the underside saying "With Smart BMS". AFAIK Halfords bikes have always...

    Fiido D11 Folding e-bike - A sort of review

Yes, I'd say those measurements are right. There's some margin of flexibility in that you can save a couple more cm if you tilt the saddle back/level (with seat-post fitted), or lean the bike (with or without seat-post). Things to consider: If stored upright the bike rests on the bottom of the...
