    Help! Replacement DP CO7.CAN wanted.

It's a standard Bafang part. Any dealer supplying BBSxx mid-drives should be able to get one. As Neal says, the part suggests it's CANbus rather than UART comms, so make sure you order the correct one.

What to do when your mid drive bike give up the ghost

I recall watching a video somewhere (likely YT) where IIRC after an existing motor failed, the owner ground the old motor mounting bracket off their frame and welded on a Bafang one (Bafang make and supply a couple of different brackets depending upon which of their motors you're looking to...

    Ebike battery renewal

I can't find anything either, not even European sources I've used before. I see the manufacturer SEGL also make the in-frame batteries for the Evans Pinnacle hybrid a couple of other members here own... so they could have trouble too.

    Ebike battery renewal

A quick Google search of your bike lists several resellers - both online and brick'n'mortar stores. Go Outdoors as one example have bike workshops in all their stores. Surely they can help? Otherwise you'd be best to post photos of the battery, including the labels and connectors, so that...

Throttle sticks open on full, flick of throttle stops it...

It is perfectly possible. It's how Fiido program it on their D11 thumb throttle and I do occasionally use it. It appears not to be the OP's issue though.

    Power Station

It depends how you intend to use it. In many cases (as already stated) a second bike battery is cheaper and more useful. However, I have a Bluetti EB70 - 716Wh, USB and 12v outputs, 1000w inverter plus 2 x 100w solar panels in my van, which I use for touring with my e-bike. 716Wh will fully...

    Brake cable

What I noticed when fitting (cable operated hydraulic caliper) XB-100's to one of my own e-bikes is that the angle of cable entry into the actual brake caliper is quite a bit different (sharper bend) than the mechanical brakes they replaced. On that e-bike with a relaxed cable run up to the...

Throttle sticks open on full, flick of throttle stops it...

No. It's just how Fiido chose to implement it and IMHO it works really well. In normal Pedal Assist riding throttle use is only in short bursts here and there; you consciously need to hold the throttle at a given speed for the Cruise to engage. The bike is a normal 250w/15.5 mph geared hub...

Throttle sticks open on full, flick of throttle stops it...

My Fiido has a thumb throttle that does this (deliberately)... it's in the controller programming: Whenever the throttle is held in any position for a constant 8 seconds it enters "cruise mode" at that speed. Blipping the throttle or the brakes (wired with motor cut-outs) cancels it.

    Fiido x controller

I checked out mivice. The controller must be custom programmed to allow locking of the battery, that Malaysian 15kph annoying beep every few seconds which can be enabled/disabled from the keypad, and generally disabling the electrics... and that it works with a Yolin display rather than their...

    Fiido x controller

Yes, I re-read your previous thread here and get the picture. I'm not sure the TS is different (it's a common part used in many Fiido bikes), just the controller due to the extra functionality added by the keypad, and the way it's programmed for the D31 350w AKM motor being higher wound. Of...

    Fiido x controller

If you don't want the keypad locking, why would you change the controller? I don't understand what benefit the X controller might offer over the D21 one? Electrically, both bikes use the same torque sensor and the same display, similar seat-post batteries, just different motors. I'm just curious.

Help! lcd compact ex cc-02 update error

Oops. Sounds like you've bricked it. Hyena's own advice is to take the bike back to an authorised dealer (Halfords?). They have the Dealer Service Tool software which, if you're lucky, may recover it. Interestingly, you can download the Dealer software from Hyena's own site, but whether you...

Is the Raleigh Strada TSE any good?

I always thought that Green looked a bit too urgent, but if that's a recent pic your Strada it's still looking good after 7000 miles! And the M16 motor still appears on TranzX's website; 8 years in production must be some kind of mid-drive record. My own M16 still rides great/faultlessly too...

    Which step through?

The Volt Regent would be a better comparison than the Burlington in that it's a step-through which uses the same Bafang M200 motor as the Peak Trail. Interesting to see that - finally - some manufacturers aren't all following the herd, and Volt too have dropped the Shimano Steps in favour of...

    Fiido D21

I don't follow closely Fiido's M range, but as I understand it the M1 is road legal 36v 250w cadence sensor, the M1 Pro is 48v 500w cadence sensor, and the M21 is 48v 500w but marked as being a 250w motor with torque sensor. The M1 Pro has a reputation for shooting off uncontrollably (some say)...

    Fiido D21

Yes, the whole bike is pretty rigid and unforgiving which for most uses is I think a good thing, but not riding rough ground. There's a stretch I ride over fields on my D11 which is just manageable standing out of the saddle. Ridden on my larger wheeled 700c hybrid e-bikes it's SO much easier -...

    Fiido D11 Folding e-bike - A sort of review

The kickstand scratch is likely the left crank hitting it when the stand is down and the pedals are rotated backwards (mine has the same scratch - self inflicted!). The chain being off and the gearing slightly misaligned could be the box being manhandled during delivery - easily sorted (lots of...

    Am I being ripped off?

Maybe I missed something in this thread, but I'm curious as the OP didn't say... Is this yet another example of a 2000w DD motor drawing 400amps of current climbing a 1 in 1 hill? And it's melting the wiring? And we're surprised? What is it you're using?

Folding 20" bike that also rolls

Yes, the Fiido D11/21 "trolleys" in that it can be pushed along in folded form. It's demonstrated in the ebiketips video I posted on my Fiido D11 review. The Btwin 500e is a pretty limp 24v system to carry a 6'4" rider weighing 108kgs. The Fiido is far better at 36v and 120kg loading, but I'd...
