Wisper Wisper bike owners - how are your wheels & spokes looking?

Can't you just take a small, soft, brass brush to those nipples? Followed by a smear of silicone or something?

You lucky, lucky, b*******. I love a polished aluminium frame, me. A steal at 120. Fortune favours the brave as they say, meanwhile I've been sat here clutching my pearls worrying about spending a laughable 150. Oh well

    For Sale Bargains

Damn it, that's sold now. I thought the auction ended tomorrow afternoon. I have been prevaricating and was thinking of putting in a last second bid. Oh well, I doubt I'll get a better opportunity, I'd better resign myself to be happy with what I have, which is a suspension seatpost rather...

Oh boy, perfect, and he's willing to post it. Couldn't come at a worse time. This month alone, Boiler packed up (new PCB and transformer required), car MOT and service, yesterday the tumble dryer finally gave up the ghost, I ordered a new one last night. The last thing I need right now is a...

    Argos £245 folding Bike Improvements

That's incredible. First it gets shipped from China to the UK, then it gets taken by lorry from Argos warehouse (somewhere like Basingstoke or whatever) to Wick. Then the lorry has to make the return journey. So now say you were desperate for that bike and drove 271 miles to Wick and back. How...

    Argos £245 folding Bike Improvements

I've noticed a new feature on Argos, if it says Out of Stock and you click 'Change Store' and if there are none near you, you can click on 'Happy to Travel' and it will tell you where the nearest one is (if they have any), in my case that was Minehead. 24v, no gears and not folding but...

    Argos £245 folding Bike Improvements

I enjoy reading your updates, so thanks for posting them. I'm curious, what is it about this little bike that you like so much? Is it the 20" wheels, the fact that it folds, or what? It makes me wonder how much fun a fully powered little folder would be.

Woosh and Wisper are both UK based. Both sell excellent, well priced products. Both have an excellent after-sales service. Both are friends of this forum and both regularly post here.

Chains? We don't need no stinking chains. https://www.swindonadvertiser.co.uk/news/24554851.child-illegal-e-bike-drugs-arrested-north-swindon/ Yet another nasty bike with no chain. I bet the brakes aren't up to much either. The local police keep banging on about stickers, my conversion does...

Good knowledge sir, as usual. And you're going to want to dump the shifter/brake lever combo things anyway, because you're going to want to fit hydraulic brakes (not negotiable). I like a Shimano Revoshifter, and you only need one because electric bikes don't need three chainwheels.

There you go, I never even knew they made 8 speed freewheels. I should buy that Trek for £80 OR BEST OFFER. Strip it down for spares. It's in Leeds though, I live in the soft south. Then there's the wife's reaction *sigh*

er...that Trek could be a mistake in the seller's description. I have the exact same bike and it has a 8 speed cassette. Not that that really matters. Just buy a 7 speed freewheel, or order a cassette conversion kit instead. These older 26" mountain bikes make great conversions for...
