    SWX02 36V vs 48V

Thank you vfr400. Your first sentence says it all really. So 48v it is then! Not sure I understand everything you've said. I'm thinking of a SWX02 48V motor and staying within the law at 15mph. I guess the advantage of 48v is not so much top speed but power to get up hills? But like I said...

    SWX02 36V vs 48V

Thank you Nealh. Interesting, the main thing I'm getting from your reply is 33% more everything plus smaller battery. Very good, but I would hesitate at 6ah LOL. When I say one way commute, I do have to get home again, hoping I could blag a free battery charge at work, also low PAS all the way...

    SWX02 36V vs 48V

So what would be the advantages/disadvantages of a SWX02 48V based kit over a SWX02 36V kit please? Rear hub kit. This would be on a 700c hybrid, 85 kilo rider (with backpack for work) 15 mile commute (one way), some small hills. Thanks in advance.

    advice please folks..

Cheaper than £399? I think the only cheaper option is to buy direct from China. Even then, with postage, it probably won't be far from that price. Have a look here: LiFePO4, EV Charger, EBike Battery, Bike Conversion Kit, Motor, Controller - BMSBATTERY

Denwyn, I know you must feel you are taking flak from every angle but we have your interests at heart. I feel you have rushed the sale of this bike, £400 is undervalued in my humble opinion. Anyway, you are lucky, you have a Royal Enfield and I don't :)

Denwyn, I'm not seeing this on eBay yet. IMHO I really think eBay will get you the best price. By the way, I love the Indian Royal Enfields but I think I would have to live in France to own one of those, where I could chug along deserted roads in Normandy, unfortunately there seems to be...

How about a non-mountain bike with 26" mountain bike size wheels? Cyclezee make some nice ones with low battery and low seat.

Absolutely agree, nothing puts bidders off more than a high starting price. Also it's not a bad idea to time the listing to end at 10pm on a Saturday when many bidders will be lagered up! :D

But then he has to pay to ship it back to them. On eBay, you can insist buyer collects. (you can also ask for cash on collection to avoid Paypal fees)

erm...because I don't want it. Nothing wrong with the bike at all and a real bargain, but I have other plans. The only reason I want to look at the listing is because I'm curious to see how the sale goes, I have been following poor Denwyn's plight since he started posting.

I bet you get more than £450 for it (if you list it as an auction). Minimise your loss by not spending £1800 on your next bike, there are many cheaper alternatives that will fit you. Please let us know when it's listed.
