What does a bit of extra weight on an ebike actually do?

Unless the numbers go something along the lines of 36-24-36 .

Does the Bosch Active line reduce power when it's hot

Out of interest Mike, what level of charge was left remaining in the battery when this occurs? With the Performance Line and CX Line, I have completed climbs covering distances of over ten continuous miles, with an elevation gain approaching 8,000ft and have never experienced any issue with the...

Commuting on roads on FS and HT

Maintenance aside, my biggest complaint about full suspension bikes, is pedal strike. Not something that I have once experienced on any of the three hardtails that I have owned, but have suffered with it on many an occasion on the full suspension bikes that I have either owned or ridden...

Full sus for 18 mile commute on road

In off road terms, hub drive bikes are probably best suited to light trails and bridleway use. I never had a lot of luck with my first hub drive bike (a BH Neo Xrem) using it off road, and suffered two motor failures within the space of 600 miles. Others though, and there are many on this forum...

Full sus for 18 mile commute on road

Giving this thought, I often wonder what I would do if I had to commute by ebke everyday. I do it occasionally, but have to leave my van at whatever location that I am working at. Having owned both crank drive and hub drive bikes, I would prefer to commute using a hub drive bike. For me, a hub...

Full sus for 18 mile commute on road

They do work and work very well, but I prefer not to have the maintenance of the rear shock absorber, and also bearing and bush replacement that a full suspension bike requires when put through constant wet and muddy use.

Full sus for 18 mile commute on road

If I might make a suggestion. Have a private chat to georgehenry. His bike requirements are seemingly fairly similar to that of your own, and I believe that he has been using both crank drive and hub drive. This is one of his bikes, and the thread makes for very interesting unbiased reading...

Orange Alpine 6E demo day in Crowbough this coming Sunday 29th July

The jumps don't do it for me either. :) It is a good venue to start from, as the track gets very popular at weekends, so there is plenty to see. The demo day is just starting from the venue, and whilst people are free to ride any element of the track/tracks, it isn't expected.

Kahlkoff Intregale Headset , how to tighten

It is rather like trying to find an answer for a problem that doesn't exist. As shown by example with this thread, it takes a simple task and turns it into a head scratching annoyance.

Kahlkoff Intregale Headset , how to tighten

Doesn't the Kalkhoff use a design that isn't quite the same as a conventional set up. I can't for the life of me remember what it is at the moment though. :(
