    The local playground.

Last week I happened to spot the following two clips of the local playground that I had somehow previously missed. I usually venture into this woodland on a weekly basis, and although I don't ride the trails below, the second clip of the two offers a good insight into what it takes to build and...

Woman fighting for life after 'e-bike' hit-and-run in east London

From what I saw of the bike in the clip, it just looks like a converted Specialized Rockhopper, not an off the shelf pedelec.

Well that didn't go quite to plan! Whilst trying to work out the route for a future group ride, myself and my regular riding buddy, became well and truly lost in the fog. A 15 mile off road ride, that turned into 22 miles. Still brilliant fun to be back out doing night rides again. Woops!

    Rear derailer repair or replace?

I have the Park Tool version and wouldn't be without it. The X-tools version represents brilliant value for money. :)

    Locking Security Skewers

Here is a starting point for you. https://www.dtswiss.com/en/products/hubs-rws/rws/ or more specifically this https://www.dtswiss.com/en/products/hubs-rws/rws/5-mm/ You might well find that the end can be removed, which then just leaves a spline showing. When taking the bike away from home, I do...

No ride photo, but I have just found a clip that I haven't previously seen of the local playground. We had a brilliant group night ride here last night, and I came very close to having my first 'off' for a couple of years. Thankfully nearly's don't count. :) I never get bored of this place, and...

To me it looks like a converted Rockhopper.

Woman fighting for life after 'e-bike' hit-and-run in east London

Very true, and sadly for me, I was put in a similar situation in my teen years whilst riding a motorcycle. I hit a pedestrian and pretty much broke every bone in her body, and in trying to avoid her, hit two cars that were coming in the opposite direction. I ended up on a pavement somehow having...

    Last year's model..

It is a shame that the guy that took the photo, didn't take the time to try to speak to the owner. I'm not into S-Pedelecs, but it still would have been an interesting resource of information for those that are. The bike is a Peugeot eu01s edit.. I think that this is the actual bike shown...

    Went a bit far

I can sympathise with you on that one. The first time that I put the KTM Lycan in my van, a ladder fell onto it and caused very similar damage. I accept and expect damage and marks through fair ware and tear, and don't see them as an issue, but damage caused through negligence on my part really...

    Went a bit far

Just out of interest, what caused the graze/battle scar just above the charging port? It seems quite an unusual place to receive a war wound.

    Cleaning and detailing

Thanks Mike. Sadly the image host went bust a while back, and pretty much all of the uploaded images are now gone. Ref ACF50, I too buy it in a 1ltr bottle, as it also then comes with the applicator can as well, although mine doesn't seem to be that great.I hadn't thought of using an artist...

    Whoosh ?

Just to add my two-penneth in respect of Woosh and it's product. When I tested and reviewed the Woosh Karoo back in April 2016, I was both impressed and to an extent amazed by the quality of the frame and it's paintwork. It certainly put the standard finish on some 'European' bikes to shame...

    Cleaning and detailing

I actually now cringe at some of what I have written above, and have changed many of my cleaning methods over the last couple of years. I'm actually in process of writing what I hope will be one of the most comprehensive ebike cleaning and detailing articles to date. Tilson, I have discovered...

    Help! Ebike Delivery Problems

On a positive note though. When you sent the Woosh Karoo demo/review bike to me, it arrived in a box that didn't have a scuff mark anywhere, and it also arrived exactly when it should of, and collection was the same. Sometimes peace of mind is worth paying a little extra for. :) The thread also...

Sadly what you see is the run up to the bank. guess that there a Flatbush section of about 2.4metres, then a stream. In reality I don't think that I shall ever get up it. The branch from the beech tree doesn't help, but I don't want to cut that down, as it is currently helping to prevent horse...

Like you, I also find that rattles are thankfully few and far between. I did have one yesterday that traced back to the battery mount of the bike light, which was a quick and easy fix. I also have a very annoying sharp crack sound coming from my carbon fibre pedal mtb, which I think that I have...

Double the fun on Friday evening. Things didn't bode well to start with in respect of the weather, but the sun did eventually come through for few brief moments. It was still good be back riding in wet weather conditions, and back to enjoying slippery rocks and roots. The Scott threw a sensor...
