Raleigh Stow E Way Tranzx problems

When a battery gets old it can still charge fully and hold charge for at least a few days. The problem comes when it tries to deliver significant current. The voltage drops dramatically, often to the level where the BMS turns everything off. That could explain some of your issues, but can't...

Prices of the electricity we use to charge

Yes. But must seem a bit of a mockery for the many people who have been waiting years for their case to come to court. Especially if the speedy justice for rioters meant yet another deferral of their case.

Want to learn to restore batteries. Where to start?

With a reconditioned battery you are paying UK labour charges for an individual item. With a new battery you are paying China or similar labour charges for a mass produced item. A reconditioned battery is only worth it if the original is some proprietary battery that can't be replaced, or is...

    Argos Cheap Ebike £360

Yes, I wondered about the brakes.

Looking for a folding bike good for hills.

https://wooshbikes.co.uk/ Better service than most LBSs. (local bike shops) Almost all the maintenance on an ebike is exactly the same as for a regular bike. Do you do your own maintenance of regular bikes? Many LBS won't service an ebike, especially if they didn't sell it to you. That applies...

Looking for a e-bike that goes from 0-15mph rapidly with minimal effort

and the area is not open to the public, so bridleways, cycle tracks, public canal paths etc are excluded even with owner's permission.

    Remove speed limiter

I think you are being a bit unfair. Many of the people asking about derestriction may well be unaware of the legal situation. This is quite reasonable, they see lots of other people riding assisted and without pedalling at well over 20mph, and the police not taking any notice. Why would it...

    And todays idiots are

I think the change should have had much more publicity. As said above, most drivers (and cyclists) are unaware of the change; making the situation more dangerous than before.

    Long time rider. Newbie pedalec.

    >250w rated isn't necessarily illegal, just so limited when used legally as to be almost useless for most people. It can be used on private land with owner's consent and where there is no public access. BUT that rules out bridleways, canal paths, cycle paths, etc. It can be used on the road...

    Gazelle innergy battary

Is that the one with a front motor? Or a more recent one with a Bosch mid-drive? I don't expect I'll be able to answer your query even with all the information, but the more genned up around here will need all that information anyway.

    Gazelle innergy battary

You don't say which Gazelle. Please give more details. Most Gazelle have Bosch electric systems. They can only work with Bosch batteries; and they have to be the right generation of Bosch battery. You can use a battery of the right type but different capacity.

Car Jump Starter as backup pedelec battery?

Maybe it meant 'Battery capacity: 69900mWh'. Or maybe it's just a random number.

PSWPOWER - DO NOT USE THEM

Most couriers seem to send an email automatically after (claimed) delivery. Often the first I know when I'm sitting right near the front door; leave it on the doorstep, tick the box on their gizmo, and the email is sent.

    What a mine field!

The 615 is a pretty powerful beast. It would put a big load on a 12 speed chain, expect short chain life if you do get it to work. It's also not legal as a UK pedalec as it's rated at 750 or 1000W, well above the UK 250W rated maximum. You may or may not care about that.

    Battery indicator/voltage

You'll get more kick out a 48v, but if you don't need it there is no reason not to stay with what you've got. The battery indicator is odd; I'd expect it to show low battery with the volts somewhere about 20v. I suggest you take the battery off and test the voltage with a meter. I'd definitely...

    Crank

Be very careful with a crank remover; make sure the inner bit is screwed all the way out so that the outer bit can screw all the way in to the crank. It's very easy to make a mistake, and if the outer is not fully screwed in you may strip the thread on the crank. I suggest to unscrew the inner...

    The e-bike that does everything

Be aware with almost all ebike adverts, especially if the say 'up to'. The range they quote is with minimum assist, light rider, perfect roads, good weather, etc etc. Realistic range with normal conditions and moderate assist is likely to be about 1/3 of the quoted range. That one still looks...

    Crank

My limited experience of two is that the Bosch one (8 years) and HL/Samsung/Woosh one (6 years) were still working fine but with significantly reduced capacity (???60%??? guestimate) and a bit more voltage sag.
