    New to e-bikes-looking for advice

saneagle's suggestion of a crank conversion is likely to be best. You may well lose the front gears, but the big benefit is that the motor will be taking advantage of the gears you have. A hub motor (front or back) can start labouring on steep hills; as it slows down it becomes less efficient...

    Tranzx Logix error codes

If you rename it (eg to .notexe) you should be able to send it, depending on the email service. The receiver will then need to rename it back to execute it. Alternative, try a file sharing service such as https://wetransfer.com/

Getting on and off a bike

Thanks. I'm silly ~ I hadn't contacted them but have now. I also measured up on the image as suggested (using IrfanView) and it came out to 27.0022 inches; almost exactly the same I had measured on our 700c wheeled Viking. I guess the accuracy is a whole lot lower than the precision, but the...

Getting on and off a bike

Thanks. I have been keeping an eye on the Ecosmo/Panlova tandems but have yet to try one (or even to see one). Better crossbar than our current tandem, but still for from step-through. Does anyone know the bottom bracket to bottom bracket distance on them (of course may differ for the different...

    Hello

You could try a set of jiggler tools (eg https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/387403224416) or drill out the centre of the lock. (I've never done either myself, just seen comments)

Getting on and off a bike

For some reason he didn't consider the combination of tilting the bike and then leg over the top tube; and the top tube is lower than the saddle he has to get over in his second (preferred) method. He also didn't mention getting on the front of a tandem. Meanwhile... I'm still looking for a...

Yose Power Hub- need a new rim!

I absolutely agree with cadence, steel rims and rim brakes are a lethal combination. (How did our parents ever survive long enough for us to exist?)

    Tonsheng TSDZ8 conversion kit.

Thanks for that interesting detail. We've got two rather different systems. An XF07 with Lishui controller (which seems to be a hybrid of speed and current control) and an older Bosch (gen 2) setup. The Lishui has a PAS but no torque sensor. The Bosch torque sensor seems to work more smoothly...

    Tonsheng TSDZ8 conversion kit.

I don't quite agree. Torque is by definition analog, but a torque sensor is not by definition analog. I can imagine a mechanical sensor giving a discrete output, for example by pressing down over a series of ever stiffer flaps. (Of course an analog sensor can give a digital signal via D/A...

What do flashing lights on Bosch battery mean?

If it does come to it, Merlin have some good deals on new ones. https://www.merlincycles.com/search?w=bosch+battery I recently replaced our 8 year old 400wh with a new 500wh for £349. The old battery wasn't dead, but clearly ageing. The older ones are getting scarcer and I was getting a bit...

    Argos £245 folding Bike Improvements

Yes, Going by the simulator site our XF07 maxes out at 82% (with the parameters I gave it that's at 18mph) and by the time it's at half speed efficiency has dropped to near 50%...

    UK use of throttle

Having it is the same in law as using it. There are situations that having it/using it is legal both on and off road. For example, Wisper arrange certification on some of their bikes, and you can arrange certification yourself. I'm not sure of the details, though.

Query re turning on Bosch system

We have a similar setup. It has been very good apart from some oddities possibly related to what you ask. We generally never use the button on the battery. Occasionally it won't start or even stops while running. We put that down to connection problems (battery rack and/or Intuvia), but later...

No - the funny thing would be if you had to carry him on your shoulders now.

    Hailong mount plate compatibility.

Show a photo with the connectors showing. There are several HL variations of 4 or 5 flat pin, and I think some round pin ones too.

    Bezoir XF200

Absolutely as thelarkbox says. I'm afraid that unless there is something very odd going on it is neither legal to ride on the road (unless you register, insure it as a moped, etc ), nor off-road anywhere accessible to the general public (whether or not it is registered etc; eg no bridleways...

Prices of the electricity we use to charge

Your first part is right, but I don't think the i.e. is. They may well think she has broken the law, or even be completely convinced of it, but they still wouldn't usually bring a case if they didn't think she was likely to be convicted. ?more? i.e. if they think a jury can be convinced she...

    Wanted Cyclotricity rack battery mount

I'm not sure, but it is quite likely that different models had different style batteries. It would be worth showing photos of the battery, especially the connection pins. It may well be generic so no need to get a cyclotricity specific mount/controller.
