    Wisper Move saddle rearwards?

Have you got the stem adjustment right forward? Some different handlebars with forward reach might help as well. As cyclebuddy says, 4-6" is a pretty big adjustment. A couple of inches front and a couple of inches back may be your best option if the bike feels right otherwise.

    Choosing a new bike.

Full throttle can be really useful for people with some disabilities. (real disabilities, not just laziness)

Gran Camino and Wisper 905 crossbar

Is it really the mid-drive you are missing, or is it the torque sensing?

    wheel building

Thanks for the replies. In the short term I expect to true in situ; even using the old nipples to save removing the tyre. Marathon Plus; for some reason easier to fit on that Woosh XF07 rim than it is on most, but to compensate the rim somehow makes it awkward to seat properly. I think maybe...

Can an employer offer different Cycle to Work schemes?

Many retailers accept multiple schemes, as well as many employers offering multiple schemes. Sadly, most schemes take quite a big chunk which significantly reduces the retailer's profit, and is why you'll usually find the retailers exclude sale items.

    Another solar trailer tall tale

Glenelg Ferry House is our favourite place to stay; less adventurously than matthewslack. This year more in the village because we were too many for Ferry House. I remember the Kyle ferry and also Queensferry, but most particularly the Ballahulish ferry which I spent hours idly watching; and...

    wheel building

The 5 year old Woosh XF07 wheel on the front of our tandem stopped being as true as it should be, and when I went to true it I found two broken spokes. (Very neglectful of me not to have kept more careful track of spokes all along.) Oddly they weren't broken at the J curve, but at the point a...

Help! Best of conversion kits review

Fitting a kit is pretty easy if you are used to working on your bike, but there are still quite a few details that will be unfamiliar at first. It is sensible to get a kit with a supplier who will give good support/advice in your choice of kit, in any questions that arise during fitting, and in...

Two boys die in "ebike" accident: Cardiff riot broke out after 'police prevented parents seeing fatal crash victims', close relative says

Are we sure they were arrested 30 times? As with follow/chase/persue there are many other things that might get miscalled arrest; a few quiet words on the pavement, police visit their home to have a word with parents, called into the police station, etc. Somewhere I saw the parents or aunt said...

hub gear ebikes, QWIC in particular

Thankyou. Yes, the Amazon Schiano is on my list. It certainly would have been even more so at that old offer price. It's showing at £789 now, or £603 'used like new'. I think that Qwik parts may be pretty much as generic Chinese as the Schiano, but not sure how to find out.

hub gear ebikes, QWIC in particular

Does anyone know anything about QWIC? Just guessing, they seem to provide reasonable quality generic Chinese Dutch style ebikes? I am looking for a friend who is determined she wants hub gears which considerably reduces the choice. 12 mile each way commute, not very hilly but certainly not...

    Ebike battery fire

If they are cheap people will buy them, whether suitable/safe or not.

Two boys die in "ebike" accident: Cardiff riot broke out after 'police prevented parents seeing fatal crash victims', close relative says

Yes, it explains that it is completely true that they were in a different road at the time of the accident. Yes, they were probably following the boys (for illegal riding on an illegal machine?, and as far as I know they haven't denied that) and may well have intended to follow them further...

    Shiano Bikes

Thankyou for the reply. I hate coaster brakes too, but my friend is Danish and doesn't mind them (I think she even likes them. most curious). I don't think she'll miss the throttle either. Yes, it looked a bargain when it was around £400, but around £800 is a bit much with unknown customer...

    Shiano Bikes

Did anyone buy one of these, in particular the Moon Nexus 7. If so, how was it? It may just fit what a friend needs for a 12 mile commute, or would it just be a rubbish nightmare for her? She's set on hub gears which severely limits her choice.

Will street parties slow down my ebike?

Not interested in the coronation, but we had a very enjoyable smallish street party yesterday (around 4:00 to 7:00). Lots of cakes left over, I'm sure you could have had some (as long as you promised not to sing the national anthem). Slightly stale cake for our guests tonight as desert.

Inevitable that its going to happen

I finally got to Bing AI by pressing 'Learn more' instead of 'Chat now'. Useful answer. According to an article on 21motoring.com1, Rishi Sunak’s car collection includes the following cars: Land Rover Discovery Jaguar XJ Volkswagen Golf Mk6 GTI Kia Rio Mercedes S-Class Range Rover SV...

Newbie - always wanted an ebike but failed with Swytch

I've been into Cytronex a few times (local to us) and they have been very helpful. It isn't the appropriate kit for us but may be for many people. To my mind it is rather expensive for what you get.
