    carrera crosscity freehub help

I thought those types of bikes always had freewheels rather than freehubs. Are you sure it's a freehub? How many speeds does it have?

    Chainset and bottom bracket

It's generally not a good idea. As the chain wears, (stretches), the sprocket teeth wear to match it. All reversing does is bring a mismatch in the shapes so you get rapid wear until the two match again. It's like swapping your back unworn car tyres to the front when the fronts get a bit worn...

    Pendleton E-Bike - Neglected batttery - Won't charge

It is possible to charge batteries like that, but extremely dangerous if you don't know what you're doing. There is a chance that the battery will catch fire, and a lithium battery fire can't be put out. I don't want to scare monger, but this really is serious stuff. You can mitigate a lot...

    Octopus CEPV

You don't have to stick with a 10Ah one. Any number of amp-hours will work - the more the better. Search for "24v frog battery". You'll find them on Ebay, Amazon, Aliexpress, Banggood, etc, or you can buy them from Chinese resellers like BMSBattery, Topbikekit, Greenbikekit and PSW power. You...

    Giant Energy Pak Charging Options?

The BMS will be inside the case. To use it for another bike, you'll need to replace the BMS with a Chinese one, which isn't too dificult. If you open the case, you can charge it with any charger of the correct voltage (normally 42.0v) by connecting it directly to the cell pack as long as you...

    Woosh C70 Brompton conversion

Can you please clarify? The Brompton I built that had more or less the same motor pulled strongly to about 12.5 mph after which there was a straight ramp down to zero power at about 15 mph. In other words, you could hear the motor whirring at 14 mph, but there wasn't much power.

Das-kit Rear hub Motor Lateral Play

As I said in my earlier post, there are different versions of that motor used bu Das Kit. That's why you have a thin nut and some have a thicker one. The differences on the outside are slight, and the differences inside are significant. The lateral play is controlled primarily by that nut being...

Help! I'm looking for a wiring diagram for the Ananda mc5-b0 controller

You don't need a wiring diagram. They're the same as a y other controller. If you're not sure what anything is, show photos of what you have - that's wires, connectors and LCD, not labels.

New to e bikes .chargeing question

Don't think that you're going to be able to fast charge. You'd have to wait hours there.

    Chainset and bottom bracket

Put some grease on the splines. Octalink type BBs are noted for their creaking. Anybody else with a creaking square taper type BB. Never put grease on it. That's only for splined type. Square ones have to be clean and free of grease, otherwise they come loose, leaving you stranded.

    Converting to belt drive

Virtually impossible unless you want to start cutting metal. You can't fit a belt drive to a bike with a normal chainstay because there's no way to get the belt on without cutting either the belt or the chainstay. Belt drive bikes have a removable piece or wierd gull-arm type frames or bems at...

Help! Thought choosing would be easy but...

Wisper Wayfarer is at the lower end of yor budget. The hub-motor versions arequite powerful and give a better ride than the crank motors. The Electric Cycle co. in Granton road sells them.

    Noisy hub ?

It might help to mention the type of noise. Graunching or screaming with vibration is normaly caused by an electrical problem, not mechanical.
