    Help! Tech assistance please

When the battery is fully charged, the battery voltage should reach approx 42v. If it only reaches 40v, the battery is faulty. Both the controller and control/display panel are supplied with battery voltage. They have their own step-down circuits to get the 5v for their CPUs. The battery...

X863-AA005 Controller Pinout or Cable diagram

350w and 500w don't mean anything and give no indication how much power you get. The important things are the current and voltage. Yours says 12A, which is quite low, but you haven't told us the voltage. Volts x amps = max power. You haven't given any info about your bike, so how can anybody...

    Commuting e-bike, most power assist

Simple physics. The heavier you are, the more power you need to go up hills. Small light people get enough power from any ebike. It only matters when you're big and heavy. A 60kg rider might have 50% more power than they need, a 90kg one might have just the right amount, but a 120kg rider on the...

    Help! Buying online help

If you want a legal bike, it's the best option. You can only buy that bike from Leon Cycles because they are the agents for Das Kit bikes in the UK. https://www.leoncycle.co.uk/?gclid=Cj0KCQjw8vqGBhC_ARIsADMSd1D5Ouzx9prgs3BuI7esQSOIremJiavC67hc9rzKpmNsiOz63zE3KWsaApC9EALw_wcB The reason this...

2t0w is just a label, not the actual power. Peak power is around 750w, which is more than most. The speed is slightly harder to deal with. NCM offer a derestriction Das Kit LCD for about £150, though you can use a standard one (not Das Kit) if you cut the connectors off and solder the wires for...

Hello... just got wayfarer pro from my sister as she stopped using hers. Could do with a user manual if anyone can assist please? Thanks.

I couldn't find a manual. If there's anything you need to know, just ask. Even if there were a manual, there wouldn't be anything much use in it.

    Can I alter the board?

The easiest way is to add solder to the shunt. The controller limits the current to a set value, which depends on the length of unsoldered shunt. If you add solder to it, the current increases in proportion to the length you solder, so if you solder 20% of the length, the power goes up by 20%...

    My Gtech eBike Sport review!.

I thought I heard that V1 batteries are no longer available, so the only option is to upgrade to V2.

Just done a conversion and need help with PAS

Check that all the magnets are present and check with another magnet that they're all the right way round. I have found one sensor with a missing magnet and one with an incorrectly orientated one. Both faults gave the symptoms you describe.

The batteries are also often coded with the date on the label, which is easier to see than crawling under the bike. Generally, batteries don't wear down if they're not used as long as they're kept in the middle charge range, i.e. not left on the charger for days or weeks. The only way to find...

    Adding a Torque sensor

Then did you figure out how to adjust the Freego and Sunbear settings? How come with all that knowledge and experience, you don't help all the guys that come on the forum with electrical problems. It's nearly always left to me and Neal.

    Greetings from a newbie

Stick with established brands that use standard parts and have an established and proven record of customer care, or buy a cheap Chinese bike that you can fix yourself, but only if you have tht basic ability to fix things.

    Adding a Torque sensor

I said it. What I mean is that the bikes you tried both come with very rudimentary pedal assist algorithms. You're trying to judge all bikes with cadence sensors on that basis, and by the sounds of it, without attempting to adjust them. What a lot of people don't realise is that many such bikes...
