C1 has 8 different values (0-7) did you try them all? I had the same issue once and that sorted it.

Get a breakdown recovery subscription if you are determined to keep using a moped to commute. As suggested before an ebike with throttle would have suited you better, if it was me i would sell the moped and get an ebike, or buy a real moped.

Do you have a torque arm on your hub? did you have the anti rotation washers fitted correctly? Looks like your motor is turning inside the axle causing the motor cable to twist.

Number 1 lesson, if it's working leave it alone. Madness spending all that time fixing it then undoing all your good work to go and try a different controller , just to see if it works. This is like a soap drama, Nealh deserves a medal for his patience.
