Which is why you may need to buy some test "clip" connectors on ebay as well, so that you can bridge any connectors that do not "fit". Its a common problemk that some testers do not "fit" all e-bikes..... Regards Andy

    FreeGo

It may have a simple wire/cable connection problem, or a sensor problem, both difficult for an amateur to find and isolate! If you are not an avid DIYer (electrically), then you might want to invest in an e-bike tester, which may help further in discovering where the fault may lie. I have...

Question on smoothness of power output of electric motor - Wisper 705SE

I completely believe you, as when I have mentioned in the past, the state of the wiring to colleagues on their e-bike being possibly the (future) source of problems, the same sort of answers come back:- "don't touch a running machine!" or "it works, don't touch!" So I don't! Some of them have...

Question on smoothness of power output of electric motor - Wisper 705SE

Maybe I have been just lucky, but I also try and take care of the wiring at all times, and I do not remember a brake cut out problem for a good many years on my own e-bikes. But when I see the state of some e-bike's wiring, all loose and pulled about, it is no surprise to hear that problems can...

    iMortor 1.0 battery upgrade help

Glad I could help, but remember, huge increases in supply voltage can also cause permanent damage in some equipment..... You were very lucky in my view. regards Andy

    iMortor 1.0 battery upgrade help

You may have "over cooked" it with the battery voltage increase, or possibly some safety feature has cut in, because of that voltage increase. Put the original battery back and see if it works again. Some controllers have voltage settings as well, though I have no idea if yours does. best of...

Question on smoothness of power output of electric motor - Wisper 705SE

I know how it works, but I don't have to accept being the best system, simply because probably many are simply not fully informed, but IMHO the brake lever cutouts simply work faster, and work, even if you haven't quite managed to stop your feet moving!! I am, like many here, one who manages to...

    Adjustable eBike battery chargers

The higher the charge current, the more early life damage you cause in your battery. So if you want it to last a long time, keep the charge current low, 2 amps max or even less, for the longest life span. You may find this article interesting:-...

    Battery charging - cost of

Without spending any money, you can only estimate, as several kind folks have already done for you. Job done! regards Andy PS. Those power used devices are not expensive (as already pointed out!), and can generally be used for most mains driven drevices.....and will probably be more accurate...

Replacement Handlebar Mount for Swytch kit?

Other (cheaper) makes are available on ebay. Do not give Swych any money at all. You may even find something better than swych, but certainly far cheaper! regards Andy

Question on smoothness of power output of electric motor - Wisper 705SE

I have had working motor cutouts on the brakes of both my e-bikes, and I do prefer it that way for smoothness. When on my first e-bike, a brake lever problem caused me to get a mild shock, when suddenly trying to brake against the motor - never was a problem so swiftly repaired with new brake...

Bbs01b died or so it seems

Many believe that storing fully charged is not good for the battery. I myself "believe" this, but I haven't seen it to be bad for fully charging, but my batteries are used daily..... The LED on the charger, when showing green, has (at least!) two different meanings:- 1) Fully charged 2) Battery...

Bbs01b died or so it seems

Have you kept it at a mid voltage level charge, since you bought it? If its a Li-ion as I believe, they do not like to be ignored for very long periods..... They need to be checked and at least partially charged, say once a month or so.... Yours needed to be kept at say around 34-36 volts...

    Battery problem

Insulate the lead tips with insulation tape so that only the last millimeter of the metal tip is visible, as it is easy to create a dangerous short circuit. Make sure that the leads are in the correct holes on the meter. Ask us any question first. No questions are stupid, but sometimes the...

Bbs01b died or so it seems

I really hate to be in anyway negative, but rely on the fact that battery problems are never an easy (ish) fix. Sorry to have to say that. But it might be an easy fix if it has nothing to do with the battery, for example, maybe the charger is defective, or a connector somewhere is...

    Solar trailer rides again!

You also need a "Long Vehicle" sign I feel, joke and fact!! You also need a couple of those bike width reflectors on your bike.By the way, you could get your solar cells damaged by one of these idiots!! Maybe move them slightly to the nearside? regards Andy

    Solar trailer rides again!

You need some cheap extra trailer reflectors, on (strong) spring mounts, with a metal (sharp!) edged frame(s), that exceed 2" in extra width, by say 6" at least, both sides. Movable, but not strong enough to deflect the trailer. A few scratches on his car may may him more careful in the...
