E10 error on my new ebike

How would/could you know that? Have you forgotten that I live in Germany, and you certainly don't. We have never met and we are are not friends, and I usually ignore your rude and coarse manner as much as possible, which is apparently your usual "state" when posting on Pedelec. So you are...

E10 error on my new ebike

I assume that for some reason a hall effect sensor has got damaged, which must be "swapped" with the motor leads when they got swapped. Is my best guess. These motors have some similarities with 3 phase motors, but the hall effect sensors are needed to switch power to the 3 fields of most e-bike...

GPS Tracking on new Wisper Sport?

Its not something that I would risk if you mean that once the controller has effectively turned off power for the motor due to low voltage....... As it could possibly push the battery voltage below the point at which a normal charger will charge. Then only a so called "Zero Volt Charger" may...

GPS Tracking on new Wisper Sport?

I see it in a similar way, but it probably just comes down to the monthly costs for most people.....but flexibility is also important. Andy

    gps trackers

The ones (2) that I bought some 4 years ago, are not now available and were relatively large in comparison to modern ones. But I just looked on ebay, and there are some quite small ones, also ones with strong magnets, for really very little money, when compared to the cost of a reasonable e-bike...

Wisper Spare battery when buying a bike or wait?

That is the right way to do it and will promote the longest battery life (of them both together) as well. And only charge when at the controllers at the point of cutting off power to the motor, or just before - assuming some SOC indication is available. Remember, batteries have a set number of...

    Battery Care Tips?

If you understood metallurgy correctly and better, you would understand why......but if you don't you will continue to make the same mistakes...... Furthermore, the motor controllers are set up to understand far better than you when it is safe to stop supplying power to the motor, and the...

    Battery Care Tips?

What one really needs, is what is called a SOC Meter, or State Of Charge meter. Cheap ones are mostly useless, as they vary wildly with the changing load. Someone here (last year?) mentioned knowing one that was correctly damped and gave a more accurate reading. With a bit of luck he will help...

    Battery Care Tips?

Try to only recharge when you need extra range, as each charge, long or short, takes away a charge cycle from the number that your particular battery has "in it!". Sadly, the exact number of charges your battery will handle, lies in the lap of the Gods! But reckon with good care, it will...

    Pedelec Law - The Details

As good as any name, but I do not think that there is a true equivalent in the UK. In the UK, its local police force that has "the last say!" There are local Police Support people in uniform, in the UK in some areas, but an exact equivalent there is not! I myself find the German Ordnungsamt...

    Pedelec Law - The Details

The law is not observed by bike riders, nor followed up on by the German Police and the Ordnungsamter (English for their name I do not know, but they are part of a towns legal team!) either......Sadly! Andy

    Pedelec Law - The Details

Here they are not seen as a way to communicate to/with a car driver, but a way of warning pedestrians that a bike is approaching, probably from behind them. Andy

    Pedelec Law - The Details

I did 11 years in the RN between 17 and 28, but I still maintain that many Grammar School people are basically unfitted for being professional soldiers of any sort, but I loved it! None of the people I went to school with entered any of the armed services, too dangerous one of them mentioned...

GPS Tracking on new Wisper Sport?

Sounds reasonable. Does the text messaging cost extra or is that also fully covered in the £5.99 pcm ? When fast tracking, you may need 2 Text messages per minute (one to and one back) to stay actual.....for some hours, in some possible cases.... regards Andy

GPS Tracking on new Wisper Sport?

On my bikes, once the tracker was connected it had the power of the bike battery, feeding its internal battery. This would/could give months of on time.....so the single time it takes to sync does not play a significant role IMHO! Naturally some owners do not connect it directly to the bike...
