Drunk e-scooter rider on Cheltenham hen do banned from driving after weaving in and out of traffic

Interesting link. Here in Germany, there is a slightly higher alcohol limit (assuming no recent law changes) for bike riding, but if you exceed that, or cause an accident with motorised vehicles, your driving license may be suspended, just as if you got behind the wheel of a car!!! regards Andy

Can anyone compare these two bikes.

You are of course 100% correct in your comment, and putting chains on mid motor designs was an appalling design engineering decision/MISTAKE in the first place, made by certain companies. But to be still selling them in 2022, with basically the same design still, furthermore actually placing...

Can anyone compare these two bikes.

I have driven both mid motor (before I knew about the problems!) on test from a colleagues (several times), and rear hub motor, and I ride cross country, mountains and hills, plus roads, I have not noticed any balance benefit or deficet from either type. My personal take is as the mid motor...

Can anyone compare these two bikes.

You ought to read up on what a single point of failure really is! Its not a religion as you appear to feel, it is solid thought out fact!! There is even a Wiki page, which I have linked to below for you!! But because you are obviously missing the point (your single point of failure maybe?)...

    Wiring 4 batteries

It sounds as though your Dad is not an electrician, and attempting to do what you posted, would most likely cause a major fire. For 36 volts, you need either 3 batteries in series = 36 volts at 12 ah, or 6 in series/parallel, for 36 volts at 25ah. But you cannot achieve it with all 4 batteries...

Still no REAL facts. If you yourself believe in such "fairy Tales", which is your prerogative of course, but I refuse to. I myself need hard facts, not dreams. I have recently found out that Pedelers generally feel the same way as I do, except for the mid motor owners!..... So to help us ALL...

Private E Scooters to be Legalised

Great post and video Batman. Also very true. I myself consider 26" wheels to be the smallest that I will ride on an e- or normal bike, for safety reasons with uneven roads. larger is even better, plus reasonably thick tyres and full suspension. regards Andy PS. Loved the voice Batman!!

Can anyone compare these two bikes.

I disagree completely with your assumptions, they do not represent anything that I have experienced with my bikes, or the hub bikes of my friends either!! I would say if they are personal experiences, then you have been MOST unlucky, generally speaking!!! I've owned two ebikes with simple rear...

Can anyone compare these two bikes.

I still say "tell the truth and shame the devil", so please be so kind as to inform us all about all the "other" single points of failure you mentioned, but gave no detail. Why no exact details with names of affected types and their problems? I would be fascinated to learn more from an...

Chevy won't replace battery in 5 yr old car: this is way worse than Tesla

This was seen as a problem, way before today, as it was reckoned that the average electric car, is usually worth LESS secondhand, than the cost of a replacement battery, once it reaches around 5 years old. Chevy has suddenly recognised that, but many electric vehicle customers, not yet! There...

    Brake sensors

I myself would, if only one sensor, for it to be on the front brake, but in the larger scheme of things, it probably makes little difference in the end...especially if using both together, as we are recommended to do by many!! best wishes Andy

    Brake sensors

If you always use both brake levers at the same time, you will not notice the difference...... regards Andy

Can anyone compare these two bikes.

I could only fnd the NCM Moscow online with pictures, but assuming the Rockrider is also a rear Hub bike for the moment only, you should be mostly OK with either. The only Rockrider 500 I could find was not electric..... The things to avoid are things like middle motors (single point of failure...

    Brompton

Good man, not a mid motor! You will mever regret that! If you do some research on pedelec, you will quickly understand why I said that! Best wishes for a great experience with your rear hub e-bike, though I personally have no knowledge of the Brompton range myself. regards Andy

Onewheel GT has a serialized motor that you can't even pay them to fix - WHAT THE #$&@

Its even worse than that, because his wheel got lost in the post, he cannot get another...... (You may only get that watching the full video!) Therefore he has the biggest doorstop in the world for $2,300! Its even worse than the Bosch "contract", and I thought things could not get worse than...

Help! charger trippping the fuse box

If I am having trouble sleeping, for example, the dog wakes me up if she needs to go out at night, and I sometimes afterwards drink a Scotch and water, and maybe go online, till I feel tired enough to go back to sleep again.... regards Andy
